I only let Rosie and Sophie in my room when i'm there, but a couple of times i've let them go in just to keep the peace.

So i'm sitting here on the computer in their room and Sophie is crying to be in my room
I call her name and she keeps crying
So i get up give her a cuddle and bring her in here with me.

She then saw me standing on a chair getting something out of the top cupboards then decided she wanted to be in them but she couldn't reach and looked around the room trying to figure out how to get up but it's too high, then she started crying
So again i get up and cuddle her.

Shes now outside my bedroom door again crying to get in

And what have i done?, i've gave in again and got up to let her go in just to keep her happy!

I wouldn't care but theres nothing that exciting in my room, oh and now here she is out again only this time chasing Rosie!

Who needs a toddler when this one keeps you on the move!

I know i am soft with them both. Sophie has a totally different meow to Rosie, hers is more a high pitched squeek that sounds so sad but cute

And thats why they do it! 'Keep it up long enough and mum will give in.
'
The crying I can cope with - just. Its the pawing that gets me down. there is nothing more relentless than a Tulip that wants something. My computer is in my studio and when she is determined she JUST KEEPS GOING. She jumps up onto the workspace at the other end and walks over everything just to paw at me - i put her down-up she comes. We do this ritual until she has had enough and snags at me with her claws. I am in danger of having real nasty claw marks - so I give in! - as she knows i will. As you probably know she is 18 so its not toddler stage - its cat stage.

Id say stop spoiling her.....but thats like saying don't breath air..right???...lol...Maybe it is just a stage...she knows her mommy has a greater love for her then she can understand...and the only way for her to understand it is to push its limits...lol....Good luck....All my cats are spoiled too

Thank you from a new kitty mommy for the insight into spoiling a kitty. It's actually quite interesting. I've had my kitties 2 weeks, and they jump up, try to play (bite fingers,) I put them down immediately, jump back up, etc. When they want attention, they want it now...when they don't care, they can sleep for hours.

The first night they slept with me they were all over my face. The 2nd night I kept them in their "safe" room (family room,) then they've slept with me ever since, but they stick to the foot of my bed. Who knows...maybe they thought they were in trouble for snuggling or something, I'm sure not going to complain.

Mine do this ALL the time. If I'm cuddling with one or paying too much attention to one, the other goes into the next room and cries and cries and cries and cries until I get up and see her. It makes it really tough to take a nap during the day.

I was getting ready for work this morning and all i did was pick one of her toys up to take it upstairs and she came running after it "squeeking" as she does because she wanted it NOW!!!

COLLEEN: Sophie hates it if Rosie is on my knee!. She makes sure she gets in between

My Sophie is a spoiled Pratt too(Haha and I'm allowed to say that because that's my last name). She has been crying alot lately - and I don't know what for. She got her special venison meat, still crying - favourite jellymeat - still crying, time by herself, still crying - time with Sam - still crying. A bit of a run outside -still crying. Spoilt? Yip, you bet!!

I don't like to use the term 'spoilt' as it implies that somehow you have managed to ruin a perfectly good cat, when in fact all you have done is build a friendly relationship with said cat! It just shows how much she loves you, that she comes and asks you for things all the time - you are definitely her 'mummy'....

My Penelope squeaks too when she gets excited about a toy!! It's the sweetest cutest thing!

Yes, but at least your girls maintain a sweet cuddly relationship with each other. Molly and Penelope don't cuddle with each other anymore. (They did a little as kittens)
