Hi I am wondering if anyone is like me and having a bit of a
Charlie Brown Christmas, in that I am not feeling the spirit
this year. I literally had to make an appt (and have a glass of wine first) before I put my tree up last night. This is NOT like me. I don't know if it's being at war, or just a general malaise.

Once I got the tree up I enjoyed it. And I am putting on a little party for my co-workers this Fri, doing the cooking which I look forward to. But damn if I don't mostly just feel like "ah whatever..."

I hope this passes.

I've been feeling the same way this year. This is my first christmas without family around! Just just a little bah humbug this year.
I mean, I want my presents and I'm glad that I decorated but I'm not as into it as I have been before.

I always feel this way about a week before Christmas. Right now I'm swamped with tests that have to be corrected, and have to think about the school Christmas party next Wednesday, and do some baking this weekend. All I want to do is sleep late!

Find a traditional church doing a midnight service on Christmas Eve. You'd be very surprised at how that can put everything in perspective.
