Unfortunately we have come to the decision that Mia needs a new home. She lives under the bed basically. I tried the Feliway Comfort Zone diffuser, it seemed to make no effect what so ever on her. She did get a tiny bit better after the move, she was able to live under the bed without the door closed. She is a very small, shy, timid little girl. 3 years old and spayed. She lets the other cats push her around. We could make her her own little home in the basement, but I don't think that is quite right. She needs a home where she can go where she want (inside) and be with someone all the time.

If anyone knows what I should do please let me know, I will put her up on Petfinder. I want her to go to a small cat household and she needs to be indoor only, I will make a contract to say that she will never be declawed, and that if anything happens that she comes back to me and not a shelter.

This breaks my heart doing this, but she has no life right now.

Oh, I am so sorry Chixy
. Unfortunately, I haven't seen your posts regarding
Mia
. I am going to go read them now. It sounds like you are going to choose the best option(s) for her. It must be so difficult. All my love and support to you and Mia..

Meagan, I just read about what's been going on with your kitties. It sounds like such an incredibly difficult situation. To tell you the truth, I am not sure what the best thing to do is, but I am sure you will get some ideas here.. Love and hugs to you and the babies

I can't stop crying, I don't want to give up my baby, but I know she needs something better. I wish someone on here could take her so I knew she would be alright.

if you still lived in sacramento, i could take her, although i know that doesnt help you out now, but i am positive that you will find a great home for her, there are good people everywhere and i am sure that someone near you will be able to give her a new good home.
im sorry for all of this, i cannot even imagine giving up my baby

Darlin', I wish I didn't have a houseful of kittes, and a FeLV+ one too, or I'd tell you we'd work out an arrangement to take her, but I'm at max capacity right now. {{HUGS}}

Thank you everyone so much. For now I am going to make a room for her in the attic (it is a finished one, just like a normal room). I am also going to give her a high calorie supplement because she has lost weight from the move and you can feel her spine quite well. Before she leaves I will get her vet checked though.

I think this is going to be hard to do. There are barely any people on here that only have one cat, and I am sure there is little to no people on here with no cats. I'm not sure what to do, I mean I can keep her until Christmas is over for anyone so she doesn't get left at home if someone has to go on vacation. The door that belongs to the attic doesn't fit now (they removed it) so she can't go up there until we get the door shaved down and installed.

One of the cats got in a fight with her, fur all over upstairs, no one hurt. I don't want her to live like this

Meagan...use my rehome page as a source....download the PDF on how to find homes for homeless pets. Send a picture of her to Cat's Cradle so they can do a courtesy post for you. Contact all the local cat rescue groups and tell them that you would be willing to foster her if you can bring her to their adoption events.

Thank you, I was wondering if I could take her to events I just didn't know how. I will try all of that.

Oh Meagan, my heart breaks for you Honey.....how I wish I could take her, but my cats can be bullies too with eachother. I will say a prayer that your little sweetheart finds a good home where she can feel safe. My Petals is very timid.

You're doing a very brave and self-less thing for your Mia. I just have this feeling that everything will work out.

Thank you. I put her ad up on a couple sites, I e-mailed a local rescue group, and I went to PetsMart and they said to come back tomorrow 12-3 and talk to someone who can take her in and get her adopted out, a small group called "FERAL". Maybe sometime I can even help out with them.

I bought a little cat play tent for Mia, she may feel more comfortable in it. She likes to hide in and under things, which is why she hides under the bed. She also likes sleeping under blankets if I put her under them she will stay forever. I just hope that once she does find a new home she won't make it to hard on the new person by being this timid and living under the bed.
