Just before TCS crashed I had minor surgery to have a suspect mole removed.

I was a bit of a coward about this, because apart from having my daughter, I'd only been to hospital one other time in my life and never had stitches.

Last Tuesday I had my stitches removed and the nurse went "Wow, that's a bit scar - must have been quite a lesion"
. That made me feel better

Well, hubby's been dressing it ever since for me. I haven't been able to have a nice soak in a bubble bath for two weeks now. I can only sit upright and have a quick wash as I can't get my back wet. I can't lie down comfortably in bed, so I've got a stiff shoulder now

Today, hubby suggested I go back to the nurse as he's not happy with the wound. So I went back and she poked it with a swab - OUCH! and I've got to go back again on Friday.

I just want it back to normal. The first thing I'll do then is have a nice long soak in the bath!!! And speed-bumps in the car won't be something I look forward to with dread.

Thanks for letting me whine.
I feel better already.

Under the cats, mostly.
Aw sweetie... I know how you feel on the stitches thing
only mine weren't in a place you'd talk about in public. Speed bumps are no fun at all. But believe me, when you get the chance to soak in a bath (or at least one that doesn't have salt in it - like I had to) then you really will enjoy it! I really hope you're feeling better - hey PM me your posteal address - I'll send you sommat that might cheer you up

Hi Emma - aww thanx - PM on its way.

How's the weather doing up your way? I've been watching the news and it seems pretty nasty up there. We're supposed to be getting the wind and rain on Thursday. the wind has started to wake up already.

That's painful. My husband had a mole removed from his back a few years ago. It was right between his shoulder blades, and every time he moved his shoulders or arms he risked splitting the stitches. It took a few weeks, but the incision healed nicely.
The scar will fade, and in the meantime, you have something to look forward to - a good hot soak!

Beth I am so sorry you aren't exactly feeling like a goddess at the moment. I LOVE baths. I take one every other night at least. It is my favorite thing to do with Sasha next to me. I hope you feel better soon - rapid healing!!!! What kind of music do you play when you take your baths?

Thanks Elizabeth. Music? - it depends. If I'm relaxing something soothing - either classical or instrumental. If I've got the house to myself - anything I can squawk along to without the others hearing my feeble attempts
. Sometimes I take a book and have a good read - but only one I don't mind if the pages getting crinkly.

I know what you mean. ....except I wait until the entire neighborhood is cleared out!
LOL When I listen to music in the bath I like my soundtracks.... for instance, the soundtrack CD from A Beautiful Mind is awesome and ethereal and the soundtrack from Legends of the Fall never tires me. Sometimes, though, I'll switch to metal and Eric will come home and there I am all covered in bubbles with ZZ and Alice in Chains playing REALLY loud.

My biggest problem is getting a decent amount of time to have a soak - even if I'm not injured, whenever I go for a bath at the moment my 18 year old is having a 3 hour pamper session. A one bathroom house and a teenaged girl - not a good combination!!!

I LOVE the music from A Beautiful Mind - I haven't got the soundtrack - but have a compilation of music from films. It includes A Beautiful Mind, Lord of The Rings and other gentle tracks. It's lovely.

Thee are some lovely Cds of Music to relax to, that I use when I need a bit of calm, or I'm soaking in the bath. I find NAtive American songs good too. But I do hope you feel better soon - it sounds like a rough patch for you.
