Okay, I've just seen the nastiest cat box ever! On Lifetime there is this show How Clean Is Your House? and they're doing an apartment of a 26 year old woman who has a cat. The cat throws up all over the apartment and the litter box is horrible! And the worst part is that she has the food in the bathroom next to the litter box and the cat digs out the food and the girl just puts it back in the dish after it's been on the floor next to the poop! UGH!!!!!! The show itself is cool, but this apartment is making me sick! And the poor kitty! They had a vet come in and explain that the condition of the apartment was causing the kitty to throw up and is very unhealthy and unacceptable.

How sick!
And it's not the girl, but the cat who will get the bad rep.

That's like eating in the bathroom.
Would you want to??

Aha! For once you guys are getting the spin-offs of our shows. How Clean is Your Houae has been hitting the Brit screens for some time now, and you wouldn't believe some of the houses that have been cleaned up. It does get worse that that trust me - if you're squeamish, change the channel. They did clean up after a woman who hadn't cleaned her house in over 24 years. Just food for thought.

yeah it's amazing how people manage to get themselves into that state. It's not like this woman even had kids to chase around after either. She was jsut a single woman, who'd rahter sit and do a crossword and ignore the mess - she had kitchen utensils in a shampooey container beside the bath (which she'd even USE!!!) - when she was asked why, she said "is that bad?" I mean, DUH! When they examined the itty bitty bacteria and stuff inside the house, they discovered that the air inside her house - in the middle of London - was about 200 times dirtier than the air outside on london's busiest thoroughfare. Pretty scary that really.

Watch t.v. tonight Emma because Kim and Aggie (who do How Clean is Your House here in the UK) are on for an hour doing a house in the USA.

Some of the people who they've done here in the UK want a good kick up the backside, lazt so and so's!.

Too right!! The only complaint I have about the show is the fact that it appears at my dinnertime
How ANYONE is supposed to eat while that is on is beyond me!!

What amazes me is that anyone would allow their filth to be shown on tv like that! One of the shows they did here in UK was a teacher's house, and I can just imagine the students' reaction to seeing 'teacher' on that show!!

the worst is that spin off 'too posh to wash' with the dirtiest people. a dirty house is one thing but refusing to wash? surely these filthies are putting other peoples health at risk by breeding germs?

So far out in left field I got lost
Oh Gross
I would
if my house was like that. I am glad they brought a vet in to check the cat
Poor baby.

I can say that right now my house looks like a bomb has went off here. We have sheet rock dust every where
Ken and I are remodeling and it's still in the stages of getting the walls up, mudded and sanding.

Then we have to restore the hardwood oak floors that we put carpet on 6 or 7 years ago. That was dumb
I have to find someone who will let The Sammycat, Oscar and Ceasar spend the weekend with them while the floors are drying since we can't have those gorgeous little paw prints in the varnish. Oh well one step at a time to finish the house

My room looks like a bomb has hit it too!! My kitty has chewed up lots of paper that i needed and i havent cleaned up and there are still boxes everywhere that im trying to figure out where to put.
the only problem i have is that if a toilet is dirty i refuze to clean it unless im fully covered and im able NOT TO TOUCH ANYTHING
The worst was in our house was when my mum was really drunk and hadnt cleaned up the kitchen! it smelled so awful and i was stuckw itht he cleaning.
i usually clean right after im finished with my meal. It was great at my bfs step dads place when we had it for 2 weeks i would clean the kitchen with in 2 minutes, THANKS TO THE DISHWASHER

I wonder if those people were raised in filth, so they don't even notice it as grownups?

My house gets cluttered with stuff (just found a great book - Organizing from the Inside Out - that really looks like it might help) - I have lots of books & stuff laying around, but it's clean from a sanitary standpoint - I can't stand a dirty kitchen, bathroom, floor, or litterboxes. Just the thought of that gives me the creeps - I couldn't watch that show.
And not bathing (!)

And I thought I let my apartment get bad. Honestly I really need to vaccuum.
But I would never let my home get that bad,man the smell alone would have to knock a person over.
I can't even stand to let dishes sit in the sink.

And not scooping or changing the cat litter...
Coming home for work is bad enough when the boys have had nine hours to do they're business. (One of these days, I'm gonna try one of those self cleaning litter boxs, but Gandalf doesn't like to cover his stuff so it doesn't dry very quickly.)

However this does remind me, I need to take out the garbage when I get home tonight.

Well... our home could be named "Ground Zero"... but its because of the stuff. We have too many books. You can't sit anywhere without moving a book or paper. And everything is disorganized (nothing gets put on its place). And the computer area is a mess of CDs, Floppy Disks, speakers, half of the disks are unlabeled, and you could lose a piece of data in there for centuries. But man, I thought we were bad.

cat vomit, uncleaned litter box and such? EWWWWWWWWWWWW!

Besides, I could never left the litterbox without cleaning for a day or two: It sits next to the computer where I am writing at, so I would not be here if it was dirty.

My apartment tends to get quite messy at times (it's actually not bad at the moment since classes have ended and I have a lot of time to clean) but only messy as in things out of place, vacuuming overdue, etc. - not cat vomit and filthy litterboxes! I don't understand how someone could stand to live in that - wouldn't the smell alone drive you crazy?! Poor kitty, that's just terrible.

She was probably mentally ill guys, and mores the pity. Inhaling those types of fumes on a daily basis can really destroy brain cells and that could have led up to it as well. It is to bad the show exploited her in an attempt to bump up their ratings instead of getting her the help (mental help) she probably needs-

I watched that last night too. What irritated me the most is that the girl thought it was funny!
I've been watching this since it started here and I've been pretty disgusted, but this one took the cake. She even had scroungy undies lying about..Nasty!

At least when they went back 2 weeks later, she had done some maintaining of the place.
