I'm going on vacation, a cruise to be exact, and I can't help but feel bad about leaving our guys behind. Even though they're staying with a petsitter they love, I can't help it. Anyone else ever feel this way? What should I do?

When we go on vacation we tend to call and leave messages on the machine so the cats hear us! or leave a tape to be played. I always bring their pictures on vacation with me.

Have a great trip!

That's a great idea! Unfortuantly, we'll be leaving the country, and our message machine doesn't have a speaker that works that way. I will bring they're pictures with me though. We'll be gone for a week.

Trust me - you will miss them more then they will miss you. They'll have a great time with the petsitter but still give you the cold shoulder when you return so that you suck up to them!

Yeah, I know. Orei might miss me though, he's scared of our sitter.

Wear a t-shirt a few nights for bed and leave it with Orei to help calm him down. Feliway should also help his nerves.

Please--we went away for JUST TWO NIGHTS this past weekend and I missed my two beasties.
And this summer we went away for two whole weeks and I missed them like crazy. When we went on the two week vacation, my bf tried to be all manly and pretend like he didn't miss them--but the first night we were back, he picked both of them up when we were going to sleep and brought them to bed with us.

Oh Jenny! This summer I went away for 5 days to my best friends wedding (LOL thats a movie too isnt it? HAHA I REALLY did go to her wedding!)
I think I annoyed the H*ll out of everyone talking about my cats! My Mom was watching them, and she was sick of me too, since I kept calling, (I'm not as crazy as I seem
... Baker is a special needs kitty
) SO my advice is remember that they are happy, healthy, and perfectly OK, if you worry too much over your cruise (OH WOW am I jealous
), you will come home and regret the time you missed having fun while your pets were perfectly fine!
Can I have some pictures of this trip my dear? (I need them!!!! I'm stuck in Snow-ville!!!!
)
Have a great time sweetie!

When I go Orlando for a few days I'm always calling the house to see how my babies are doing. My mom takes care of them for me. I called them when I wake up, when I'm at the park and when I go to sleep. When I leave Orlando I keep saying 4 hours until I see my babies. When I get home Gordo doesn't want me around
Pitufo and Princess don't care, they get so happy when they see me. I heard that Gordo stands next tot the door and waits for me to come home while Princess waits infront of my bedroom door. She does this when I go out too. I'm going to Orlando for New Years Eve so I'm really going to miss them.

Have fun on your trip Ilovecats. Don't worry your cats are going to be ok.

At the kitty's beck and call
So how did they treat you when you got back? We often go away for 3 weeks occasionally 4. When we get back Felicity acts like it was only yesterday that she saw us. Mind you, she'll accept a fuss from anybody. Tippy is completely different though. Because she's scared of everybody else, she comes yowling up the path and won't leave our side for about three days. But most of the time she sits on the floor with her back to us and her tail thwacking on the floor to let us know SHE'S NOT HAPPY!!!
. Then, after a couple of days we become can opening machines again.

That's my question! The first time I left Baylee for a day she was so happy to see me when I got back... this time she was loopy and nutty just like when I left - I don't think she missed me at all!

Alright, I'll tell you. I'm sorry, I left the most important part out.

Orei was SO happy to see me. He came right up to me and rubbed my leg only about thirty times.
Then he followed me around all night.

Princess ran up yowling her head off..... I picked her up and caressed her for about 5 minutes and bonded for a bit. Then they both left and forgot about me.

Oh, but my dog, Caeser......

He at first was confused, but after..

MOMMY!!!!!!

ilovecats, i have 3-4 people at least come to my house and visit. Cindy has a lovely musical voice that they adore, so I get her to come and walk around the house and just talk.
I get Shannon to come put fresh water in their bowls and put a few pieces of ice in it so that it is chilled.
Henrietta, my once a week maid, comes and feeds them and scoops kitty litter.
Nancy across the street brings in the mail.
I call the house and talk to them on the answering machine so they hear mama saying, "I love you."
