As far as that goes, Macs had the superdrives first, and flat panels first, and a gui (graphical user interface) first, as well as drop down menus, etc. soooo I don't know ehre you get that one. Also, as far as the progs that I have access to, and care to get, Adobe puts out their mac versions out first, and the mac versions are much more clean, intuitive, and overall less buggy. sooo *shrugs* but then again, I wouldn't program on a mac.

I would NEVER not own a Mac. I have an iMac and an iBook. I do use a PC at work. I have little to no problems with compatability, and I like that I am not the target of every virus and other problem in the world. I have Office for both of my computers, so I have the ability to use Word, Power Point, and Excel.

In a Missile LCC somewhere...
I have used both the PC and Mac, including iMacs and I am a 100% a PC user. I do music professioanly and graphics and gaming on the side, and its PC all the way for me. The software I use for the PC for music production for a Mac Vs. PC standpoint is very interesting... They (the software publishers) stated that the PC was more powerful for production of music and the Mac was lagging along so they dropped support of the Mac and stayed with PC. They even thought that video production was catching up to the Mac and may soon surpass it soon. Thats a plus on my side. Woohoo! But gaming will never be the same for Mac. Even Linux has more support for the gaming industry then mac itself.

The big thing that is killing the mac, imo, is that if you want to buy a Mac, you have to buy a mac for the most part at mainly speciality stores for the most part. You can't really get a clone. With a PC, there are tons of clone manufactuers and resellers out there that you can choose from. I can get a PC from Alienware to HP/Compaq to Falcon Northwest to Dell. Mac... well you can't do that. That is my REAL reason why I have stayed with PC since 1991.

I am a loyal mac person. I have an ibook. But I do use a PC at work. Dare I say it...PC's seem more boring to me, which I realize is very clever marketing on Apple's part!

1. PowerMac G5 1.6 Ghz
2. iBook 600mhz G3
3. iMac Bondi
4. P4 3 Ghz (Win. 2000/RedHat9)

My main and preferred computer is my G5 as I do my main business/production work there. Everything on my Mac's work flawlessly with any PC applications. If you have used a Mac in a school/workplace, trust me, you have not experienced a real mac. They disable so many things so that you can hardly do anything on them. Some of you would really be surprised the way macintosh computers have evolved

I've always used PCs and have never really liked Macs. I wasn't even really happy when Windows suddenly took over (too much like Macs). I'm one of those people who really likes close interaction with the computer and I much prefer the command line. I'm also a Unix geek. Although I'm getting acquainted with windows. It's funny my IT guy always laughs at me trying to use the command line. He's the one teaching me faster ways to use Windows.

Adrian and I just got into this argument tonight over PC's vs. Mac's... He INSISTS that Mac's are better but I'm a PC girl... I've actually been researching all day because I wanna buy a new computer with my tax refund... I reinstalled Sims 2 today and it runs soooo slow that I can't even play it... I'm actually gonna post a thread to get some opinions on the comp that I'm lookin at...
