It's not a good timing to bring this up cos everybody is happy about xmas and all... but I've just been served the notice at work. My last day is end of Jan next year..exactly one year since I started work.

Reason for the sack? The quality of the data entry is not up their standard when the data is not even enough... She felt it was expensive for her to pay me to do data entry. She felt there was not a match of person and the job.. She warned me against using the privileges at work to mess up her system, which disappointed me a whole lot... for her to think that i am such a character, it pretty much shows what kind of understanding we have of each other. utterly disappointed...

I'm upset to the core and almost on the verge of tears.. this whole year has not been a smooth one.. lost the job at jan and then i got this one but with this one, i had to work many hours overtime and on top of that, it's not appreciated.... I have yet to tell my closer colleagues at work and they do not know what's happening so I have to show a happy face to them while i'm actually pretty upset about things... not exactly a good feeling...

Can I just ask for some positive vibes for the next job to come soon and for the next job to be something better? Pretty pls?

Oh, Kate, how upsetting for you to suddenly be told your expertise will not be necessary after January.
How dare this person actually imply you would use your talent to destroy the system!

You have been working far too hard at this job where you weren't even appreciated for all that you are! Your next job will be so much better! It's sort of cliche, but I truly believe when God closes a door, he always opens a window, and that everything happens for a reason! As difficult as this is now, you will definately look back and feel this was for the best! Sierra and I send lots and lots of strenth your way!

Oh, Kate! I'm so sorry. Not bad enough that you've worked your butt off and are not appreciated, but to have it dumped on you just now, and with such an attitude!

Well, dear, the next one just has to be better! That's all there is to it. We'll just pour on the good vibes, and pray lots.

It's a really bad time for that to happen, I know, but there is always a silver lining. You were meant to do a better job that is waiting for you out there. Something similar happened to me once, and I was devastated. But I used the time I was out of work to learn some new skills and then found another job where the people really appreciated me and I was happy and useful. Do not lose your self-respect - you know what you can do and you will be able to go out there and do it!

Oh no... I'm so sorry, that's horrible news, especially the time of year! It sounds like your year could've been better and I hope 2005 brings you a lot more happiness than 2004... strength, good vibes and prayers being sent your way from me!

I think Jenny has an excellent point. I'm sorry that this job did not work out and I'm sending you good vibes that the next one will. Better times are ahead and I'm sure a job you will be happier in is waiting out there for you!
