I was wondering if anybody knew how to paint good Shabby Chic roses. I want to try some or at least find someone who can help me get some good Shabby Chic rose paintings without paying and arm and a leg. I've tried our local freecycle and was unable to find anything. Any help would be appreciated. And yes, I am adventurous enough to try painting them myself with good instructions or help.

I can and do paint roses all of the time, but I don't have any idea what shbby chic is.

Shabby Chic is a style developed by Rachel Ashwell. Shabby Chic roses are basically very blowsy, full, and open and the paintings look older. She has a website www.shabbychic.com if you want to see the kind of stuff she does, but I can't afford her. She's way too expensive, but I like the style. It's been described as English Cottage meets California Beach.
