and actually that is two different litters, or so I was told, the kittens in the top picture are a little younger..
I can't wait to see them in person! You can't really see the color of their eyes in the pictures but I love your description of the black and white's blue eyes. He sounds so pretty!

So exciting!

The temperment might be a little different since they are also part coonie....hope this helps
Carol--Since you know Roberta can you please help reassure me. This is a big decision for me as adopting a pet means adding a family member...

Here is an e-mail from a friend after I told her about thie kittens---

WHOA---ARE they healthy? What is the reputation of the rescue? Ask to speak with their veterinarian. Call the better business bureau or local SPCA and check up, takess a couple of calls to check on your potential future. Does the $150 cover spay/neuter...if so, cost is fair. What age are the kittens, that is young for both breeds. ARE they socialized? What conditions were they raised in? Kitten mills? (RUNAWAY if so, no matter how cute)

Check them out like you would the breeders. I agree, my heart goes pitter patter when I see them. But please be sure this is the right thing before dashing off if you haven't already.

Now, you guys know I don't own a raggie either, and I have never even met a maine coon, but do they come in black? These just look like three very cute domestic long hairs to me. I don't see raggie in there at all, no mitts, no real "v' s on the face, noses black, maybe?. If it's the ragdoll personality you want, how do you know what you are getting?

I am afraid here.

Those are good questions. You can contact the lady and ask for the vet's number so you can ask the vet if the kittens were tested for Felv, FIV, etc.
Because you already have cats, you obviously have to be very careful and make sure the kittens do not have anything your cats can catch.
Of course, since you don't know who the parents are, if you want a purebred Ragdoll, it's better to find a breeder. But they do have a Ragdolly look to them, although most ceirtanly they are not purebred Ragdolls. I don't see much Mine Coon in their either, but since they are mixed, who knows. They are cute either way.

I sure think that kitten in the middle on the top picture is too adorable for words. I wish I could adopt that little cutie.

I don't know what else I can tell you, the price does include spaying, and some shots, if you are having second thoughts my best advice to you is to go and see them in person for yourself. As far as I know one of the fiv/felv tests have been done but I don't know which one it was, we will have our kitten tested by our personal vet before bringing her home but I live close and you don't obviously. Roberta is an honest person who also works with forever pets and does adoptions out of Petco. I have no qualms about getting a kitten from her, but as I have said, I am close and you are not. As far as the age goes, these kittens were CONFISCATED from the breeder, seems the mom is reputable and daugter was less so and took off leaving cats and kittens with mom, who doesn't do mixed breed cats (a oopsie breeding?) and was going to have them all PTS!! I am sure they will be well socialized by Roberta by the time they are old enough to be adopted out. Any other concerns you may have you should take up with Roberta IMO, not trying to sound mean here but I don't have any more info to give you. If you are having a bad case of the cold feet perhaps it would be better for you to try to find a rescue closer to where you live if you don't want to drive up there. The only other advice I could offer is to save up and buy a pure ragdoll from a reputable breeder, that is what I did. I saved for three years to buy Jasper.....and he is worth every penny I paid for him, and I would get another in a second if I could afford it.... :-) I wish you the best whatever you decide. I don't mean to preach or sound shrewish....good luck in making a decision or finding another kitten elsewhere if that is what you decide to do.
