PLEASE HELP!!! My kitty is bleeding!!!

Hello Everyone-

Sam started bleeding today from his back end and I have no idea what it could be. He had crystals in his bladder about a year ago and had to have surgery and I think it may be something with his bladder AGAIN.....he has also frequently gone to the bathroom-please help.....I am going to go call the vet now. Any ideas on what it could be? Please help me!!!

Pat, it's smart that you're calling the vet now. I'm sure the vet will want to see Sam, so please post back and let us know what he says. It does sound like it's a recurrence of bladder problems.

KT is right-on. Get to the vet. But post us when you can. Take care of your little one yourself first. I don't have much to offer here except that I care VERY much and am praying it's very simple and will pass! Big vibes to you from us up here.

Thank you everyone!!! Sam is doing fine for the moment, he is spending a lot of time in the litter box. He has stopped bleeding for the time being. I called the vet and he can't see Sam till monday....ugh.....I am going to call another vet though and see what they say. Here is Sam's picture.

Sam did go to the vet today. The vet proscribed antibiotics and he seems to be doing well with it, no more bleeding....YAY!!! I'll keep you all posted!!!
