Over 16 years ago you came into my life. You were a fierce warrior, but with me and my two small sons you were gentle and kind. And to me you gave your whole heart, and in return I gave you mine. I thank God for sending you to me, my best friend. You were with me during the best and the worst times of my life, you watched over my sons when they were small, were gentle with them, even when they were not gentle with you. Every person who met you said what a wonderful cat you were. Your great and gentle cat spirit shined forth from your topaz eyes. You were there for me, everyday. You were always ready to listen, and cuddle with me to cheer me up, and give me advice. You loved to help me whatever I was doing. You were with me when my precious mother died, when my marriage of nearly 18 years ended, you even helped pick out my next husband. You made my world a better place and words cannot do you justice. I will love you and miss you for the rest of my life. NO ONE can take your place in my heart or my life. Be at peace and play at the rainbow bridge my friend until we meet again. I miss you....

Butch 1985 - September 1, 2004 RIP sweet friend

I know it was hard to redo this. Just hope you had the tissues handy - I know I did when I redid Alexander's.

Cats like Butch are hard to find, and even harder to say goodbye to.

I understand your pain. Butch will be waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge with a big purr and head butt.

Butch was such a special little man, I hope him and Bear are friends now while they wait

Me too ashley, there are so many that have lost fur babies this year, and my heart goes out to all of you because I know just how painful it is
. Thank God for this site and for others who understand that my cats are not "pets", they are family, little persons with fur that I love as much as any human in my life. I don't know what I would have done without this site and the kind members on it.......people who are not "cat people" just don't have a clue...again I would like to thank everyone for their kindness and prayers for me and for my family when we lost him. God bless us all, everyone.

Carol = you are so brave and I know it must cost you dear to repost about dear Butch. I was just getting to know him through 'jaspers' posts and then he was gone.

He was with you all those years and helped you through such a lot and he is still with you and still helping.
Truly a 'warrior cat'
Take care
