So I"m getting ready for work, running here, doing this, running there, doing that. I"m a morning person and try to make sure the house is clean, dinner is ready for that evening, etc before I have to be at work at 9. Well, DH gets up with me at 5:15 and takes his shower. The first thing he usually does is goes in the linen closet for a fresh washcloth.

It's now 8 am, and I am sitting here cruising the lounge, when I see trixie and Petals fly by in a flash of fur, chasing eachother like their tails were on fire. Hummm, something just didn't seem right............where was my third flash??

Usually one of the girls goes and bops him on the head, then they both take off with him chasing them for all he's worth...........

Tiggy, where is Tiggy?

I get up, start calling him. The girls come right away, but still no Tiggy. To make this post short, I search everywhere for about 15 minutes, then get to thinking.......where can he be? My mind went to the bathroom! Sure enough, I go into the potty, open up the linen closet door, and who should wake up, yawning at me from atop my sheets, but the Tigster himself! He was purrfectly content in there, sound asleep. My girls would have been so mad they would have been howling up a storm.........

Oh yes, closets and cats.............sometimes they don't go together, but in Tiggy's case, they do!

That's so cute!! The one time I left Baylee in a closet she was quiet... but she sure zoomed out of there real fast. Maybe Tiggy was just like, eh well... curled up and found himself a new napping spot!

Aww! I was hoping there was going to be a picture! Just because I have my own orange boys now doesn't mean I still can't pine for a Tiggy fix!
Very cute story, Susie!

You know Sarah, I thought, OHHH, wait Tiggy, I have to go get my camera, but I knew the batteries needed charged, so I couldn't.
I will post a Tiggy fix this weekend, I promise.

Oh I have to laugh at this one as well! I often do the 'search for the missing cat' routine, and find them in some of the most amazing places. Lion is my hiding expert - he never choses the same place twice either and can fit under some furniture that looks far too low to the ground for him to manuever. He lies down on his back and literally pulls himself underneath - it is a hoot to see.

Well, two weeks ago I did a head count - and couldn't find Lion. So I looked in all of his usual places. No Lion. I looked in all of his unusual places. No Lion. By this time I am panicking and asking my husband if he had opened the door and could Lion have got outside? We don't live in a big house, it is all on one floor and there are only so many places in it for a cat to hide. Half an hour goes by and I am now opening up all of the dresser drawers to see if he is inside or if he is in behind. Then I get to the bathroom. The cupboards have not been open yet today at all, but well, I look anyway just to say I had looked. Lo and behold, there is Lion happily curled up on my travelling makeup bag. He stretches his paw out to me, yawns and looks at me as if to say "so what's the fuss?". I then remember that I had heard strange bumping noises during the night and realized that the little trickster had figured out how to get his paw under the edge of the cupboard and flip it open! Of course, once I found him there he hasn't bothered to go back, but his brother has imitated him a few times. Surely he won't be able to find very many more places in this house to tuck himself into for a quiet nap!!?

Susie, that's cute story!

Snowball used to have a companion named Midnight who went to the Rainbow Bridge three years ago.

Whenever Midnight was accidently shut inside a closet, Snowball would sit right outside the door and patiently wait for us to open the door and let her out again. So thanks to Snowball, Midnight always regained her freedom within a minutes.

Now that Snowball is our only cat, I always make sure I know where he is before I shut any closet door. I wouldn't want to come home from work only to discover he'd spent the entire day in the closet.

well since im still living in this house i have this huge waldrobe its got 3 sets of it but stuck together. anyway i only use one for my cothes, the middle for toys and the 3rd i put a shelf in from the stop part and created a make up, boxes part. then on top of thesethings ur meant to store blankets and stuff or more clothes but i store books and other stuff. one is kept with cat food.
Now kitty climbs on top of the waldrobe, with the help of the matress that is stuck behind it and tries to open the cuboard! luckly he is still 3 months old an wont be able to flip it open

Our hallway linen doors never shut well so you never knew what you would get when you reached in. You either got a towel or a handful of kitty fur!

Under the cats, mostly.
heheh closet is a good place to sleep where it's all warm. Floss used to get into all sorts of wierd and wonderful places though, She got herself stuck between two airbricks when dad was building the extension on the house and that called for some expensive cuttings out. she got herself shut in the attic for three days once too. Oh... and under the floorboards. If you ever had to lift a carpet ot put up a ladder... you had to double-check everything at the end and you still always seemed to manage to miss something!
We missed her one day when we called her for dinner. In the end it turned out we'd walked past her in the garden - curled up like a pile of mud in an empty terracotta flower pot. She was jsut the right colour to blend in with anything. Even in snow she looked like slush! In summer she was mud. On a wall she was a brick in the shadow... well she just disappeared
