Avatar?????

How do i make a custom avatar....I am slowly rebuilding after the crash and have reached young cat status.....but i only have 5 options for an avatar....yet i see other young cats with a lot cooler avatars......is there a way to get new choices or do i do my own and if thats the case how do i do it???

You get new avatar options as you increase in cat status... the are certain levels of posts/time as a member that you have to reach before new ones open up for you.. Sorry I don't know the exact # of posts/time as a member but I can try to find it for you
To have a custom avatar you have to reach quite a high level, I think its 1000 posts..

These are the levels
Kitten - A registered member that posted less than 20 posts.

Young Cat - A registered member that posted between 21-100 posts.

Adult Cat - A registered member that posted between 101-300 posts. (Plus 30 days membership)

Alpha Cat - A registered member that posted between 301-700 posts.

Super Cat - A registered member that posted between 701-1200 posts. (Plus 120 days membership)

Top Cat - A registered member that posted between more than 1200 posts.

I'm pretty sure those are the minimum days membership but I could be wrong about the 120 days, I'm not sure if that is for Alpha or Super Cat.
You will get new avatars at each level, for a custom avatar you will need to reach Super Cat.

Just a couple of clarifications:

Young Cat: You have to be in membership for 30 days also. (why you haven't gotten a larger selection of avatars yet)

Alpha Cat status is also dependant on 90 days in membership.

You may add a custom avatar at 700 posts and 120 days in membership.

Deb, do the post/time limits also apply to subscribing members? I can't recall, and haven't found anything to indicate otherwise, though so many posts are now missing.

As far as I see in the admin panel, yes. I will bring it up with Anne, though.

Mferr84 was a casualty like me and had to reregister this month as well....but like me she has hit the 100 post mark and is able to change her avatar.....but i still cant...neither one of us has hit the 30 day mark

I change my avatar on the first day. I had 70 post before I remember that I needed 21 posts to change it.

Well i mean change it to a not kitten avatar...lol

This is what you need in order to make your own avatar. You need to be a
Super Cat - A registered member that posted between 701-1200 posts. (Plus 120 days membership)
Or become a paying member.

Do you mean how do you select an avatar from the predefined avatars for an Adult Cat? Simply go to your Control Panel and click on "Edit Avatar". Then, use your dropdown box under "Avatar Category" and click on "Adult Cat Level". You have a selection of 20 avatars from which to choose! Please let me know if I may help you in any way!
