Hi! I am new to this site and just wanted to post this message. I currently have a 10 month old male kitten named Thomas. I do, however, have a question for all you cat lovers out there. I have had a few cats before, but never one this large. Right now Thomas is 21 lbs, though not at all fat, and 32 inches long including his tail. I was wondering if anyone had an idea on what type of cat he may be. He has distinctive tufts on the tips of his ears and is a short hair. Any help would be wonderful. The picture posted is him at 7 months old.

Thanks! Lisa

Welcome Lisa and Thomas!

Sorry, my kitties aren't as big as Thomas so I can't tell you what type he is. It must be so much fun having a huge kitty!

he has a long tail, and a very high pitched meow if that makes any difference.

Where did he come from, and when was he neutered?

I got him from a shelter and he was neutered at about 5 months.

I can't see him!! I just love big kitties. My Leo was 22 lbs. at his biggest, and he was part Maine Coon. His shoulders were level with my kneecaps, and his paw could cover my whole palm. His head was so big, I could just cover the top of it with my hand. All my other cats, I can almost wrap my whole hand around their heads.
Welcome to TCS!

I would guess Maine Coon or Maine Coon mix just by your description but can't see picture. Try to look them up on the internet and see if they look similar to your kitty. Wish I could see

He does not look like a Mine Coon. He is short hair, and Mine Coons are longhair.
He has some unusual markings, maybe he is part bengal cat or something.

Here's the picture for those who couldn't pull it up. He's about 8 months in this picture.
