I like that you have the enclosure against the house. It will make getting out to it a lot easier next winter! Hee hee, I also like the "perches" you included!

Aw, daddy, don't disturb the boy.

He is a handsome one...

Yes, it will be nice walking right out the back door into the perimeter enclosure. This will also provide some suprvised outdoor time for Amber and Boris as well. I have 2 more pictures, he is shy of the camera. I was hoping to get more, but as soon as the flash went off, I took them early this morning, he decided he had enough and went into his pines

Nakoma say mmmmm, that chicken leg quarter was good, can I have more?

Here he is walking away, no pictures please.

Nakoma is a very lovely boy, John, and it's great to see him settling into his new family, and surroundings. The enclosure looks great.

Well, I finally finished the perimeter fence around the enclosure
I still have to cover the perimeter area, but that isn't very important. The perimeter area really doesn't need to be covered, but it is a matter of my preference. I am on vacation this week, so I should have that part complete in a few days. That is if I really feel like working in this heat and high humidity. Anyway, I have a few pictures

Nakoma relaxing

Hey, I don't like that camera

Ok, I'm going to my corner to pout

I like this picture. It was taken in the house through the window with the screen. I like the effect

This is part of the enclosure with the perimeter fence around it.

We can walk out this back door into the perimeter area of the enclosure.

Another look at the perimeter walkway that surrounds the enclosure.

The double door entry. The first door gets you into the perimeter area and the second door is the entrance into the enclosure.

Nakoma is a lucky cat to have been adopted by you. I can tell that he hasn't had the same nurturing that your other cats did: in his photos, he seems more wary and less relaxed than your other kitties. I hope you'll keep us updated on his progress.

I am happy that you enjoy the pictures and thank you very much for the kind words
As for Nakoma, sadly, he was abused by a former owner
The lady in New York, who became his care taker until a new owner (my wife and I
) could be found, took great care of him and did very well with him. The original owner had no idea what it was like living with an owning an extic cat. They had much fear and ended up filing his big fangs down (although not as bad as I originally thought). The worst part? To get him to go into his lock down box so they could go inside his enclosure, they shot at him with a paint ball gun!!!! That is why I hope with all my posts and pictures, that I can educate everyone that owning an extic cat is ok and a wonderful life long rewarding experience. But you must, at all times, be responsible and do much research before ever thinking of taking on such a task. I have been living with exotics for 2 years now and we are still learning. But, I am more than willing to accept everything and all the challenges of providing them with the best of care. For insatnce, taking on the task of Bobcats spraying. I am sure many of us had a cat that sprayed once and a while. But for Bobcats and many exotics, this is a HUGE thing for them, whether they are spayed or not. It is more common for female Bobcats to spray. Not saying that all of them will, but Amber sure does and it is a challenge every single day to think of ways to deal with it. Yes, it is LOTS of work. But, I can not ever think of my life without my exotic wild cats in my life. I love ALL my cats, but to share one with a true wild cat is something I like to share with all of you. I hope that I continue to provide everyone with the thrill of sharing our experiences
Nakoma, he is coming along. Yes, he is a little shy, but that was to be expected. I just go out there every day and speak with him. He looks at me a gives those slow blinks that say, I love you

It seams like your fencing turned out really well. Nice job, I am sure they all love being able to spend time outside. I wish I had something like that for Lightning.

Love the pictures of the new addition to the family, he is a hansom fellow. He is lucky to have found you.

Nakoma, you will have to get used to the camera. You and your fellow "Bob-bseys" have a big fan base here!

I love these last pics, John. Nakoma is looking great!

And stay cool!
