Wow - those cats are impressive!

Bob looks like a Leo to me
but if you're going with the "C" names, then Charley is a GREAT name for a cat - I'm sure he will have a long and happy life when he comes to you, just like my Charley did when she found me

Can't wait to see more pictures soon!

I can't wait until he is here
I worry about his 2 1/2-3 hour ride here, I hope he will be ok. He hasn't been in a car for quite awhile now. We decide not to use any drugs on him to put him under for the ride home. I have some homeopathic calming remedies we will use to help calm him a little. He will come home in a large carrier and I will just keep it covered to make him feel more safe and secure.

UPDATE
The materials have arrived, well most of it and "Bobs" enclosure construction will begin tomorrow (Wednesday). For the enclosure, it will go up in just a couple days. The perimeter fence will take longer, but "Bob" will be able to come home before the perimeter fence is complete. The whole project will take a couple weeks, but Bob should be able to come home by Monday
(We are hoping) The enclosure will be made up mostly with heavy duty chain link dog kennel panels. He will have 200 square feet outside and eventually, he will have an area in the house he can come into as well, through a cat door. This will be after the perimeter fence is complete.

Bob is gorgeous! Heâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s going to be welcomed into a wonderful family both here on TCS and at his own home

I would love to see pics of “bob†once he makes his way to your house, and Iâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]ll be thinking about him and hoping he has safe trip!

I wonder how Boris and Amber will react to bob? Do you think they will get along at first, are they territorial ? I guess they would be like any smaller cat, and introductions would have to happen very slowly.

Thanks for the update

I have taken a few pictures so far, but I have been pretty busy with the enclosure, that I haven't had much time to get online. At the moment, I am at work. I do believe that we will be picking up Bob on Sunday or Monday, that is if the State import permit is ready.
Hmmm a say hello to Bob thread. I am sure I can work that out

Well, if all goes well, by this time tomorrow (Monday), Bob should be home with us
that is, as long as all the paperwork, state import permit and health certificate, is in order. His enclosure is 98% complete, been working my butt of in this hot humid weather. I still need to put up a perimeter fence, but the enclosure itself should be complete by tomorrow. We will be heading out to New York in the afternoon, that way, he can ride home in the evening when it isn't as hot. This will sure be a big load off my mind when he is here. It has been a long time coming

Woo hoo! That's amazing news! Little does Bob know the new life he's about to start. What a lucky cat, I am sure he will really appreciate in his own way all the hard work you did on his home. It will pay off when you see a happy bobcat!

Have a safe trip to and from NY and hope to see an update soon!

Thanks
I have to admit, I am a little nervous about the drive home with him. Yes, I have taken Amber and Boris in the car many many times, but they started out going for these rides as very small kittens. This big boy, has not been in a car for a while, so I am sure he is going to be a little upset. He will be in a pretty large carrier, but the drive is about 2 1/2 to 3 hours. I will cover the carrier too, to make it more peaceful for him. We will also put some of his bedding in the car, so he has his scent there. He will smell Amber and Boris in the car as well, so hopefully, he will get the idea that the car is Bobcat friendly

It's official, Bob is coming home today
I just got off the phone with New York and my state. All the paperwork and permits are ready and he is good to go. I should be leaving in about 5 1/2 hours, so that means he should be here in about 12 hours or so. Yes, it has finally happened

Well, he is here!! It was a little rough getting him into the carrier at first, but once he was inside, he settled down. The ride home went very well, I think he enjoyed a break from the heat while riding in the air conditioning. I will post some pictures, but I want him to relax and settle down for a bit before taking them.

AWESOME, John!! You must be home by now, with your precious cargo. (Edited to add: yes -- I see you are!!)

Hi "Bob", welcome to TCS land. There are a whole bunch of daffy humans here who are beside themselves waiting to get to know you better. Oh, and just in case you hadn't realized it yet, you have picked one awesome family to join. Hope you settle in really well.

Well, I got up this morning to find him fully stretched out in the grassy area of his enclosure. He was lying under his pine branches when I went to bed. He ate two pieces of chicken too, so I think I can say, he is fully relaxed already. He is so awesome looking now. He is all a beautiful orange coloring, almost looks like a small cougar, and has no spots like Amber and Boris. His belly has some spots, but not as prominant. I will try to get some pictures of him today and post them. His new large Igloo will be delivered later today as well. It's for large dogs, but he will enjoy it too, especially once the cold days of winter return. I have much more to do to his enlcosure yet, like putting more of the sun block top on and building ramps and walkways for him to walk on as well as the perimeter fence
