I had been throwing up in the mourning, and extremely tired. I went to the docter to have some blood tests taken. I found out today that I have Mononewcleous.Anyone else had this? I can't go to school as much, see friends without their parents' permission, or anything. Right in time for the holidays, and our winter cruise!
I'm really upset, scared...and tired. I have to be really careful. I don't know what to do. Its some sort of virus that lasts for a month or so. I don't know what to think. Any good wishes, tips, or board magic? That would be great.

Try not to worry, I had it in high school too, and after about three weeks it was gone. It does make you feel tired, so get some extra rest if you can and try not to over do it. As far as I know, as long as you are sensable you don't have anything to worry about. Sorry you had to get this over the holidays. Good luck

Aw, I'm sorry. That's no fun. I've never had it, but I've known a couple of people who have, and the most important thing is to take really good care of yourself. Make sure you rest as much as possible, get a good night's sleep every night, eat well. Mono lasts a really long time as it is, and if you don't take good care of yourself, it will only last longer.

You poor thing. I hope you feel better soon.

I've never had Mononucleosis but I'm sending lots of get well soon vibes.

'Mono' is usually spread through saliva while kissing so that may help in finding out where you got it or if you need to warn anyone that you have it.

There's an article on it here: http://familydoctor.org/077.xml

Oh no! I had it a few years ago

Sleep as much as you feel you need to, and try to eat healthy, basically, take VERY good care of yourself and it won't be as bad.
It is best to try to find out where you got it from, just so if you shared anything with anyone, ect, those people can get to a doctor as well.
I got mine from sharing a straw with a friend who had it and didn't know.
Feel better soon

A really long time? Oh no!
How long? It really isn't fun. I'll try my best to care for my self as much as I can. I am SO tired.
I know...*hugs tightly* I hope so too.

Doh! (smacks self in forehead) I'm sorry, I didn't mean to freak you out, that was unthinking of me. I just meant that it lasts longer than, say, a cold. It can last 3 or 4 weeks or longer, but not, like, months. Sorry I was such a dolt!

You are not a dolt! Never.
I just got scared. You've been nothing but a friend.

Thanks for your love, concern, and vibes everyone. It means the world. I'm trying to get better.
I'm scared though, of that ruptured spleen thing.
