How many of you kept one of your kitty's baby teeth? We kept one of Bijou's that we found and now we have one of Mika's.

Jennifer (our daughter) is into scrapbooking and is making a scrapbook for both fur babies and has them all ready to include in the book. I just think that's so cool!

Oh Linda that´s beautiful,
But unfortunately Milky goes to play every morning in our big back yard and I´m so sure their teeths are there!

Seven cats later, five of them from kitten, and I have never, not once, found a baby tooth
I'm jealous.
How lovely for you, though!

Lucky you, I would have LOVED to have one of jaspers but I guess he must have eaten them all or else they fell into the carpet and the sweeper got them...sigh

My parents don’t believe that kittens lose their baby teeth! Wish I had one for proof… maverick’s 8 months now, as I haven’t found one I guess its too late?

Never found one of Twigs, and I HATE to vacum so you'd think I'd have found at least one! The others were to old when to have baby teeth when they found us. I have whiskers from all though, so I'm ok with that.

I kept the one I found of Baylee... actually, the one I actually SAW her cough up. Scared the life out of me too...

I'm into scrapbooking for my kitten (and future cats) also... how does your daughter plan on including the tooth in the book? I was thinking that just super gluing it on there wouldn't work... you know? Lol!

OK I'm on the phone to her right now and she says to put it in a memorabilia (Sp) pocket which is available at your local scrapbooking store. Otherwise the tooth will destroy anything else around it in the book. She said if you have difficulty finding the memorabilia pockets to let me know and she will be happy to get some and send them to you.

I was thinking about putting it in a little pouch or something - I'll check Michael's, they ought to have something like that there, right? I wonder why the tooth will destroy everything around it - that's kinda freaky!

Tell her thanks! And thanks to you too!

I believe it has something to do with acid-free materials. I know the paper she uses has to be acid-free or over time it deteriorates. I have a crocheted version of the Lord's Prayer (that my mom did before she passed) framed and I had to have acid-free paper and had the back sealed against dust so it wouldn't turn yellow and deteriorate over time. The framing was over $400 but well worth it in the long run.

Kinda like how now certain photo albums are considered "bad" because the pages are made of something that'll eat the pictures? And wow, you had to go through a lot to preserve that crocheted item (what's the word I'm looking for?)... I guess it is something that could easily deteriorate...
