Although I'm not Jewish, my friend (who is Jewish) just phoned to wish me a Happy Hannukuh and I want to pass it on to all of you on this site who celebrate this special occasion. I apologize for not doing this first thing this morning, but as they say, better late than never.

Hey, you guys in the know, I'm curious, is Hannukah extra early this year? This is only my second year experiencing Hannukah. I'm Catholic, and my bf...well he doesn't have a religion, but his father was Jewish, so we light a menorah in our house in addition to celebrating Christmas. Anyway, last year I remember Hannukah ending right before Christmas, so it seems early to me this year. But what do I know from Hannukah?

Hannukah is determined by the lunar calendar - that's why Jewish holidays fall on different days, each year.
