Ok This is what I have been doing.Roxy is in my second bathroom at night.I take turns during the day switching the cats with the rest of the condo. When alex goes into sleep I let roxy explore 3 rooms in the house.I never let her in my bedroom(this is where alex spends most of her time)or in the 2nd bedroom(which has alexs litterbox)She explors the other 3 rooms. Then when alex wakes up to eat and use litter box I switch them.Is this right or should I make one room just for roxy.Which would be the 2nd bedroom. The only problem is I would have to move her litterbox.Or should I just keep doing what I am doing.I am still confused
just not as confused
What do you think. Thanks in advance

I'd continue for awhile longer, if possible. If you switch litter boxes, your kitties may well end up being confused, and using the old location where the litter box no longer resides...then you've got messes to clean up, plus confused kitties to retrain!

Or, you could do one cat to one room. As long as you keep consistency, you should be just fine.

Good luck; keep us posted!

I have obviously missed another thread about this - but are you trying to introduce a new cat to an old cat? and if so how long have you been doing this for?

Can you just keep them separate for now, without switching them around? The switching around is probably a little too much too soon for your older cat right now, if she's acting upset & hissing at you (I seem to remember a mention of her doing that in another post). It might also be stressing the younger cat, if the whole house is new to her.

If you can keep them completely separate without having to put Roxy in the 2nd bedroom that's fine, but they need to be completely separate, and give them a week or two just to adjust to things as they are before you start switching them around.
