Hello all,

Not quite sure if this belongs in here, but here goes...

Over the last month and a half, I noticed that the whiskers on the right side of coco's face are either broken and really short or just gone all together...I asked the vet why and he had said it was most likely coco getting into places he shouldnt be...but i don't know.

Why would the whiskers on one side be gone or broken and not really on the left side???

Should I be doing something?

That happened to one of my cat when he was a few month old. Same thing - vet said he is too active, try to get into small places... I wouldn't think it's anything to concern about if the kitty eats, sleeps, and active. That's just my 2cents.

It's fine. Whiskers are used to measure spaces. Sometimes older cats won't eat their food, and that is because their whiskers brush the sides of the bowl they are eating from, and because the vibrasse is so sensitive it bugs them. They do break off all the time, and they do grow back.
