I have a very very small budget for Christmas shopping this year (it was crashing the car that caused that!) so have had to think hard about what to give people. My mother is on a serious diet, so I got her a salad bowl, and some lettuce & tomato seeds, & I bought my Dad some apple juice (it's made locally and is yummy, they had some when they came to stay). Otherwise most people are getting boring stuff. My OH has a new shirt, and a new sweater, and each of the pets has a present for him too, e.g. one of the guinea pigs has bought him one of those toy planes that's powered by an elastic band, so it will be fun to see him open all those. The cats will have some chicken for their present, the guineas will have a peach, and the pony has some sugar-free pony treats (in a Christmas stocking!!) so the pets presents definitely won't last to Boxing day!

Happy Christmas!

Sue

I don't have pictures of what I bought (I'd take some but they are wrapped now). But I can tell ya'll.

My mom: Casino print pajamas
His mom: Floral print pajamas
My dad: 3 gourmet cooking oils and ginger candies
His dad: Union suit and a personalized golf placemarker (not sure the official term lol)
His bro and his bros gf: A new blender (dork thought you could mix cookie dough in a blender....)
My stepdad: Ft. Campbell hat and T-shirt (got him all pro army stuff... hehe he's ex navy
)
My 'other' dad: I'm sending a ton of home made cookies: chocolate chip, ginger butterscotch cookies and white chocolate macadamian nut cookies.

I think that is all we're buying for... I got hubby some jammies but I think he'll get them early. Its getting chilly here.

Looking through my presents, I realised that all the main bits are now wrapped! I will explain what I have got though and post pictures of the my best friend's present later!

Mum: A Yoga Starter Kit, a necklace and earing set, Disney's Fantasia sort of Biography book, a bottle of wine and an Elvis photo book.
From the cats: Stamp book, bubble bath, calendar.

Dad: a set of cooking knives and block, a Dean Martin book, a bottle of Sherry and a CD ROM Encyclopedia.
From the cats: Tool set, pens and pencils.

Sis: (Mum and Dad have got her a Digital Camera) so I have bought a Memory Card and Camera Case. I have also got her a Queen Live CD, a Brian May Guitar book and a bottle of Rose Wine.
From the cats: Highlander videos and a dinosaur fossil (toy thingy)

For Tibby and Molly, I have bought a cat tent, a feather duster, a wand toy, a spring mouse thingy, some fur mice and some other bits for their stockings!

For Alice (my Auntie's dog) I bought on behalf of the cats, a choco cotton bone and some tennis balls!

I have also bought stuff for stockings for my Mum and Dad - loads of bits and pieces!

I have bought some little goodies for my best friend, and will try to photograph them later. One bit is a German table decoration that spins with the heat from the candles (don't know the name), a small snow dome and a cat soap that grows hair (??!!)

Paige and Molly are getting:
In their stockings-

a new wand toy
Bonito Flakes
1 crinkleball each
2catnip toys each (Molly is getting a refillable mouse, and a small stuffed toy, Paige is getting a catnip ball catnip toy and a small stuffed toy)
Cosmic Catnip treats
1 Playball apiece

wrapped-(from PBT)

A Valerian 5pack
Honey Suckle twists
Kirby Sticks
Wildside Salmon treats
a boogie mat
a good-time gecko

They got to have a couple presents early though, because we got some extra stuff when we ordered from plain brown tabby

Molly and Paige highly suggest the Honeysuckle pillow to any cat!

they also thought the crinkleball (a little different from the ones at petsmart.. they're furry and crinkly, rather than just crinkly) was interesting.

If we get Diego, though, we have to go out and get him some christmas presents that will suit him as he is just a kitten

You guys are much more creative than I am.....

I bought toys for my nieces and nephews and Mom gets a George Foreman grill that she wants, and some yard decorations that I had to order on line because it's the wrong time of the year for that I found out!

Jerry's parents got gift certificates for restaurants....they're rich and buy whatever they need so they said that's what they wanted....

Our tree will have no presents under it this year from Jerry and I to eachother...
We had to buy a new fridge a couple of weeks ago, so that has to be our present to eachother........
It's tough being an adult......

Now hopefully nobody on my list but me and cats reads this board...and if any of you do...if you know about it it's going back.

Hubby: tool stuff, a big WWII DVD set, gloves
Mom: perfume, stuff from bath & body works, down throw
Dad: tools stuff, puzzles, polar fleece pants
My sister: cordless drill, pots & pans (w/mom) candy
1 bro in law: so far chipping in on drill
Godson: Under armour shirt & sweatshirt
Sis & Bro in law: big dustpans, fishing stuff, state atlas,

But one nephew we have a running gag and I could use some creative assistance. My hubby has a sweatshirt with BOSTON printed on the front. He always got teased by Tim because he wore it so much and looked pretty shabby. 2 years ago I attached it to my 4 wheeler and dragged through garden and drove over with with truck also. I also glued cat hair on it and we gave it to him for christmas. Last yr Neil got it back. Tim has written with glitter glue Gail's the BOSs and something about pretty boy on the back. Well we have to top that. I was thinking of cutting in down the front like a sweater and sewing fake fur on collar and cuffs and of course some saying. What else would work????

Must be some Aussie code thing.
I can just see myself in downtown Seattle next summer at the ferry terminals with throngs of tourists, "Oh, so you wanna get across the water?? Sure thing, it's a quick goat distance for ya!"

That has to be the funniest thing I've heard all day.
