Was thinking maybe we could have a Christmas present thread where we could post gifts we and our babies receive as well as gifts we intend to give! This will be a fun way to share as well as give a few ideas to those of us who are still searching for the "perfect gift" !

Don't have pics yet of gifts to give, but this is what our SS Laurie sent Sierra for Christmas! I've posted them in the other thread, but I'll put a few here, too, to get the fun started!

Isn't Sierra's stocking so lovely!

Sierra having such fun!

See her little tongue?! When she's finished playing, her entire toy is wet!

Catnip daze!

Thank you, again, Laurie!

what a great idea Stephanie

we have bought about 1/2 our gifts so far.
for chris' mum we have bought dvd's as they just got a dvd player - for his sister we are giving money for a new couch she is buying - his dad is getting vouchers to his favourite hardware store (I hate giving these vouchers but the men here really really want them every year for christmas & birthdays so I have just given in)
for my father we are giving him a plane ticket to Sydney to go see his brother who just moved up there.
my mother is getting a rice cooker....

now i just need to work out what to get my brother, his wife & my 3 nephews

so thats our start - we are getting there slowly

thanks Stephanie

as I said to you on the phone the other day - we always end up spending over $1000 on christmas *sigh* as we have sooooo many people to buy for - and also the wine we buy for the day and such therefore we try to start buying gifts early so that it doesnt seem like we have spent so much
and you know it really does work

I'm making sets of p.j.'s for my dad, brother-in-law, and son. I've found the flannel sleep bottoms at Rural King (a local farm store) and will get coordinating long sleeved t-shirts at either Old Navy or Target (still price shopping on that one). I'll get that iron-on paper from Office Depot and select appropriate photographs for each person. My son will get a photo of Mac on his set, brother-in-law a picture of his adoreable 2 year old, and my dad is getting a picture of a goat that Sam (Wellington Cats) took and was kind enough to give me permission to save and use. My dad and I have this running "thing" about me wanting him to get a goat. I've given him goat toys and goat calendars and clippings from the want-ad about goats for sale.

I'm planning on putting everything together this weekend and will post pictures if successful!!

I think it's a good thing I live 600 miles away or he might "call my bluff" and really get a goat that I'd have to take care of! But, then again, that would be a fun thing to share with him, wouldn't it?

)

It's 10 non-stop hours of driving.
