I'll pose a question, lets see how many good answers we get.

Q: How do you clean mold/dirt off the shingles of your roof?

MyAnswer: My first thought: Powerwash! Second though: shingles ripping and flying!

I need some good answers - the house is looking like I should be owning 4 black cats....looking kinda unkempt and spooky!

I'm not a roofing expert, but I wouldn't powerwash. You might create a few leaks. If the roof itself is good you should be able to leave it, but how old is the roof. Maybe the shingles need to be replaced.

Hmmm... I don't know if it would ever occur to me to clean the shingles... granted I live in an apartment and I share the shingles with my upstairs neighbor...

Good luck finding the answer!

luckly i dont live on the roof but ive seen the people come here once a year to clean it up.
they spray this stuff like water but its not hard.. then they use a brush and brush down it.. they are on top of the roof *HOW SCARY!*
and then they spray some stuff and it looks very shiny.. although the shine goes away a month later from the rain..
