Recently I have been out of the house a lot more.

I'll let ya'll in on something embarasing (other then my spelling
). I was kind of a shut in when we got Meishka... I didn't have a car and hubby was working all the time and I didn't know anyone. So I was home with Meish a lot.

Now I have met a few people and I go out during the day... the gym, shopping... girl stuff. And it is great! BUT...

.... now I'm not home with Meishka. I come home and she is at the door with a nice meow welcome for me. I feel terrible if I go out again during the day. I guess I'll get over this?

Am I the only one who feels this way???

sometimes, Molly especially is a little mad with me on monday mornings, because she's spent the weekend cuddling, and then I leave lol.

once the changes become routine though, she will get used to it, although, if Meish is really young, you may want to give her a playmate?

NO! Sara does the same thing to me. I could be something as simple as going to take the trash out and when i come back in she is sitting by the door looking up and me like 'i thought you would never come back' or if i go in the computer room and shut the door, she will lay down against the door and do these heartbreaking meows. I am in the exact boat you are. My husband would take the car and i would stay home all day with her and he has been tdy lately so i have been out and about more and as soon as i walk in the door i feel like crap cuz i havent been here with her.

Denise: I would love to get Meish a playmate but she is 3ish. We brought a kitten home and poor Meish was so stressed. I didn't have the heart to do that to her. It killed me to return the kitten though. He was a doll. I'm still upset about it.

Meagan: Its so hard to leave them at home!!! Sara looks like a kitten still so she must be really attached to you.

when we first brought her home she had a URI and i spent every second with her on the couch cuddling with her for two weeks, so yea, she is very attached, i left for a few days to visit my husband and when i came back she was glued to me for days, she wouldnt let me go anywhere she couldnt see me.... i felt so bad, she is only four months, i really want to get her a buddy while she is still young.... i can only hope my hubby changes his mind though

Awww. Just explain to him that she needs a play buddy. Offer to get a male cat so your hubby isn't the only man in the house

i dont know if he will buy that, but its worth a try....

That's adorable that he forgives you so fast. Meish rubs against my leg and I always kneel on the floor with her for a few minutes and I'll ask her for a kiss and she headbutts my mouth. (maybe she doesn't really understand but I'd like to think she does)

I toasted em and they were great with apple butter

LOL. I splurged and got an $18 dollar toaster. Its a bagel toster one and I really did it with hubby in mind because he loves bagels. LOL But I did have my hands on the $7 one at the PX... but it had tiny slots.

if we actually USED a toaster, i would have no doubt, hands down, without his consent bought the best one i could find, but we make toast about once every 3 months and bagels i do in my toaster oven(which we wouldnt own either had it not been a gift)
ah, men... when will they learn that the money we spend is for... THEM
at least that is what i tell mine, when i need to kitchen stuff, i tell my hubby...'baby think about all the wonderful meals that i can cook, i can make this and that and this, but i cant make it without (insert desired kitchen appliance)' my hubby is a sucker for food... works every time!

LOL. Sounds like mine yup yup. Military thing?
We have a toaster oven as well but we don't have enough kitchen space to leave it out and I'm sick of getting out and plugging it in and then waiting to it cools then putting it away... this toaster will be so much easier. I'll save the toaster oven for his burritos.

Hubby also has issues about how much I spend at the commisary!! But then again he never complains when he is eating the food!

I think it is a military thing, i know a couple other girlfriends whose husbands are the exact same way, and we sit and devise out these plans of what we are going to tell our husbands in order to let him approve a 50$ spending allowance at the upcoming tupperware party...

i dont really have any problems with our commissary, it is the smallest one i have ever seen in my life, it doesnt have crap, if i went to a real grocery store, then we would be in trouble, but i dont want to drive that far, so i settle for the few choices that this marvelous base has to offer us
as for the grocery bill, that night i cook him his favorite meal and he forgets all about the money... wonder why he hasnt realized that there is a pattern going on when he gets lasagna every time and only when i go shopping
