And now you are a kitten! Our "grown " Rita a kitten! I was talking to Tia (MyRage) and she had found some snippets of threads cached on search engines. Send her a PM and see if she might be of help? She's very willing to go and try find it, although doubtful, she will try, she's an angel!

I'm sure most of you know, but for the ones that don't... some of your posts can be found again! I can help, IF you ask. PM me, and I will be happy to find any lost posts or threads that you may want to have again to read, and reread. I've found all but two pages of my thread on 'The Shelter Just Called'. That was a journal I kept about my foster kittens lives with us.

Feel free to PM me if you want me to look for any post or thread. There are people working to help find and piece together threads already. I can email what I find to you. The only other thing I would be doing is playing The Sims 2, but I'm kinda burnt out at the moment. I also have my internet working again, so I am excited to surf and surf and surf.

I would definitely NOT take it back. In the past 5 months I've found a great boyfriend, started to see my little brother as not a little kid anymore, but instead the beginning of a man (sad, but also really amazing.....), and watched Sammy grow from the most spastic kitten ever into a great CAT...plus, gotten a new kitten, Lola, who is beginning to be less skitish, and whom I now see Sammy looking after.

dearest sweetest candy makin' Rhonda. You bring such good light to your posts how could anyone ever complain about spelling and grammar? If you could only see me when I'm thinking about something emotional I am a grammar train heading off the tracks! I just wanted to comment on your father being in your dreams.....I'm kinda there with you today on that one
and I got such a strong sense of happiness and how you truly might have an angel on your shoulder. Congrats on your promo, too. Somtimes it can take so long for things to turn around but they do.
Love,
Elizabeth

Well, recently I had a super-close 5 month friendship deteriorate. (It became apparent I was of no use to him anymore unless I could take him somewhere). This wasn't the case before. In the past, he lied to me about his income among other things, and we moved past that but then he shut me out, and only called or emailed when HE needed something. I don't need friends like that. I think I'm a stronger person and have learned a lot in the past 5 monts so, yes and no. LOL

I was trying to articulate what the emails and PM's to me were expressing, how some people had such an emptiness now at the loss of their threads- important segments of their life that validated them somehow and losing them was painful.

I figured that it would be like a funeral thread and people could open up about how they felt and then, just as they do in Crossing the Bridge, learn to move on and go forward.

That is why I started the thread, and honestly felt guilty at my analogy of the hurricane, especially in light of Deb25, Kimward, and others who were caught in an actual disaster and are watching around them every day as people try and pick up the pieces of their ruined lives.

Would I go back five months? No, because that would mean I would have to relive the death of two cherished cats. It about destroyed me to deal with it once, twice would shatter me forever-

Honestly, in the greater scheme of life, lost posts rate pretty low on my priority pole

You know, it's sad but when I think back to the last 5 months, I can tell you what happened here at the site more than I can tell you that happened in my real life. I can tell you what has happened with Penguin and Laila, and the ending of Sasha's amazing recovery. I can tell you about the heartbreak of losing loved felines, and losing loved family and friends. That's what I'm sad about losing, not the post count.

But my own life? There was a successful shooting season, and work. That's about it. Nothing terribly exciting. I wouldn't turn back the clock, though. Live and learn.

No, I wouldn't turn back the clock. Going counterclockwise isn't wise for me.

Oh, I'd change the past 5 months in a heartbeat. I left the most fabulous job I have ever had for one that I am less than happy with.

Deb, this just hit a nerve with me, don't know why. Maybe the brevity of your words just underscored your sadness. I hope you can find a win-win again....something good inside the new job. I'm so sorry. ~~~ Hoping for improvements your way~~

I would never trade the last 5 months. 5 months ago was when I first went into the hospital because of pre-eclampsia and now I have a darling almost 3 month old son. I love that and wouldn't change a thing!
