Hi Mik yu wanna go out too? I try to get my meowmy to let me in the hall, but she knows its just a trick to get outside wen someone opens the door. She won't let me go outside les I have on my jacket wif a leash she holds. Its better than wen she wuldn let me go outside at all -- but not much.Originally Posted by vespacat

Lex - I try so hard to do my cute rolly kitty move for Meowmy, but she doesn't seem to understand that's actually my cue for her to offer up some real food, instead of those bland crunchies the old boy scarfs down. Well, I'll just keep fetching my toys at 3am and chirp all the way to Meowmy's bed (and head) as her reward...

Haven't I told you guys about how I (and sister Jade) came to live with meowmy and grandmeowmy? Well...
It started on July 4, 2000 when Minx went outside as meowmy and grandmeowmy were going to a picnic. Minx didn't come in that night, and for the next few nights, and meowmy didn't worry. But after he had been gone for 3 weeks meowmy thought for sure he was dead. Also the mice realized he was gone and they starting taking things easy. They never ran from place to place and one baby mouse sat on meowmy's foot using it to look around. (It didn't scared meowmy. She thought it was kinda cute.) Grandmeowmy - who hates mice - told some friends about the mice and they mentioned that one had a stray momma who had kittens under their porch. They caught the kittens (3 of them) and kept one, and gave 2 to meowmy and grandmeowmy. Those two were me and Jade. I adopted meowmy (okayed, Minx let me share her) and Jade adopted grandmeowmy.
Minx came home 2 weeks later and when he saw us, he was rather kind and understanding. I looked at him and thought "Wow! What a big, macho cat!" and he gave me a lick on my head. Jade saw him and went "Pfft! Hiss! Pfft!" Minx just put his paw on her and washed her head, too. He was very kind. He was meowmy's and slept next to her until he died in 2002. (I slept next to him.)
Jade slept with grandmeowmy. (Only coming in to meowmy's room to help me wake meowmy up. She would knock the bedside lamp on meowmy's head. Ouch!) In June of 2004 she got very sick. It was while the van was being fixed. Before meomwy could arrange to get her to the vet, she died.
So it's been me and meowmy and grandmeowmy since then - except for the week we had Alexander. (He had to go to the Bridge because of bladder stones and being so small. The vet said he would have them all his life and he wouldn't have a good life with frequent visits to have his bladder emptied. It would be very painful.)
I'm tired so I'll go to bed early. Goodnight kitties!
