I'm in mourning

I hope no one laughs at me, but I feel like a hurricane has hit this wonderful board, and wiped out so many treasures and special moments.

I know that we won't ever get them back in their entirety but the threads about Sierra, and Penguin, and the premature kitten thread will be sorely missed. Sasha's and Starlight's posts are here but incomplete, and just the funny things that were shared, the members who lost a cat in the last 6 months, or suffered through a bad experience with the help of the members here, those are all gone-

I hope in time, that new updated threads will be re-introduced so we can catch up on the lives of these cats and the incredible people who are caring for them-

MA - no one would laugh at you. It's sad, but we will catch up in no time.

i agree with you...I had only been a member since September, but some of the threads really help me get to know some of the members and their bundles of joy. They will be missed, but I am sure we will see lots of rebuilding in the next weeks and months and this happening will only make the TCS community closer and stronger. Just be glad the site is up and working again and we're all back together.

I agree MA - I am feeling the same!!.... its so sad to loose such amazing threads - but please know that we are all here to help rebuild TCS

I have been a member for roughly 2 weeks now and i feel like something has wiped away this board too.
and yes we are all here to rebuild TCS.
Its so incredible how you can become attached to something so quickly, and feel so horrible when its partially ruined.
Atleast most of us are back, that is the main part and we will rebuild this site with more funny stories, jokes and share our rough times too.

No, MA, nobody's laughing at you -- a sad chuckle, maybe -- but I'm sure we're all feeling the same way. However, as one poster said on another thread, we may have lost a bunch of stuff, but we have the memories -- nobody, nothing can take that from us. And once we stop pinching ourselves to make sure we truly are awake and home, we'll be in there like so many dirty shirts creating more wonderful memories. This place is awesome!

These memories are precious to us and forever treasured in our hearts.

I agree, what happened to TCS is so sad, and it really does feel like the board was hit by a hurricane or something.

During the last 2 to 3 months I had a serious health problem, and also had to have some really stressful and scary medical testing done. I asked for and received board magic for these things Even though the threads I posted no longer exist, I still remember and really appreciate all the help and support I got from the members here.

Fran, you said that so well, and I agree completely.

Nope... I would never laugh at You MA*hugs*... I too have grown attached to those threads because they helped me see that there was help in the healing and it also helped me see the troubles that our babies go through day after day.

I KNOW!!! After you called me tonight, MA, I came in and had a look around ... it was so sad! I just think of all the countless hours of time and effort into posting helpful, informative and educational messages to those who needed them and they are just poofed into nothingness. It feels so weird!

Nevertheless, I am still very happy to have the site's forums back up and running again - I have been missing this place and all of you people here.

Here's to making TCS an even greater place in the future, built upon the memories of what it was in the past.

Okay I'm glad I wasn't the only one who was sad! I've been having a bunch of stuff going on all at once and when I heard TCS was back up, I ran to go see... I was so dismayed to find that I and so many of my friends didn't exist!

But... it just means I'll have to try harder to post more... I'll get back up to 1300 in no time!

Try to think of those posts as cherished life memories. We have many of those in our personal lives and have nothing tangible to remember them by so we will survive this. Luckily, you were able to get things rolling again so quickly that I'm sure very few of our wonderful members will be lost and that's what's REALLY important. Now we will go about making NEW cherished memories together again!

Everyone here has already said it so perfectly... I'll hang on to the memories, and look forward to the new ones we will make!
MA, I could never laugh at what you said... it's true for so many people here!

MA-the best thing are the memories! We all know what we experienced and just being with all you guys almost every day helps make those memories even more special!!!!!

MA -- Thanks for articulating my feelings so well. I am sad about all that was lost, too, but I'm heartened by the fact that so much of the community has come back and is active once again.

Michelle will have to update a Penguin thread! That thread was such a source of inspiration!

Grissom, on my next day off, I will recreate what I can remember of her life with me. I have lots of memories etched in my heart, and I just have to take the time to sit down and re-write it up. The dates may be incorrect, so I won't put any dates there at all.

What saddens me is the notes of cheering us on, the encouragement, the support we had received...those I can't recreate.

I really am in tears. So many people reached out to her and I, bucked us up and moved us forward, and to lose that is heart-rending.

But I will start anew - especially as it seems we are close to contact...

No, MA, I can't laugh at you. I'm crying.

I'm not laughing...nor anything else....just totally pissed off at what happened.

I'm sure in a few days this to shall pass...and we'll be getting back on track.

What a shame that we lost so much.
