Help Finding Indoor/Outdoor Cat Breed

Can some one help me in choosing a breed of cat that can be both indoor/outdoor? I live in the woods and have a ton of land so they can rome around. right now i have a mixed breed who is 18 and im looking for a new cat. i need an indoor/outdoor because my boyfriend is allergic and can only stand to be around cats that loose their dander outside so if anyone can help that would be great! Thanks

Most of our members have inside only cats. Your best bet would be to contact a local rescue organization in your area and ask them for a socialized feral cat. I am sure if you meet their criteria you will be a thankful phone call for them to receive-

Hissy has given you some excellent advice. As a breeder, I feel pretty safe in saying that most other responsible breeders won't sell you a cat if they know it will be allowed outside. Most rescue and shelter associations are beginning to adopt this policy as well. I wish you the best of luck in your search. I just know there is a kitty out there somewhere looking for you, too!

An indoor/outdoor cat will not guarentee your boyfriend will not experience allergies. I agree with Hissy...get in touch with a rescue regarding a socialized feral cat.
