I adopted 2 beautiful persians from a family who is moving and could not take the cats with them.

I can't imagine having to part with these beautiful cats!!
They are both male, 3 yrs. old, with registration papers the owner never filled out and filed.
One is 99% solid black, his name is Harley.
The other one is Smokey and he is black with some grey patches.
They both have big round gold eyes.
Smokey is still very upset and wont come out yet on his own, but Harley was out running around last night.
Poor babies! They don't understand what is going on!!

She said Harley is more of an independent cat, while Smokey is a lover and wants to be held. Hopefully he will learn to like us soon and realize he is safe.
They have been staying underneath the futon in the spare room on a blanket.

I just turned around to find Harley out again!!

Once I get them combed and a little more comfortable I will take pics and post them. They are so awesome!

The other cats are being pretty good too!
No fighting, a little hissing from Mitzi and maybe B.B. but they are very territorial.

At the kitty's beck and call
Welcome to your beautiful new babies. But I have to say Smokey seems to be saying "Leave me alone, I'm not happy!!!"
Poor Smokey. I'm sure after a couple of days of being fed and fussed over he'll be fine!

HArley and Smokey are lovely, lovely boys
I'm sure Smokey will realise soon that things may be different, but all is well, and he's safe. Poor dear doesn't look happy right now though.

Congratulations on your new family members.

Oh I will never understand how people can give up their pets, but at least they knew who to call. They are beautiful!

It was pure luck that I found them.
My daughter has a fairly new job and someone she works with knows the girl I got the cats from.
When Jenny heard the word "persian" she immediately thought of me.
I did not know what I was going to do, hubby has already told me firmly, NO more cats.
I did not tell him.

I waited till he got home from work last night and he noticed the bedroom door was closed with a light on and asked what was going on in there.
He actually took it better than I expected. I told him he was a softy too, he couldn't have let them go to the Humane Society.
This silly girl who had them was going to drop them at the Humane Society since they hadn't found anyone to take them and they were emptying the house they were moving from.
Poor little Smokey still won't come out, but it has only been one day.
He should come out of it. Keep your fingers crossed!!

I know, I know, I must've lost my mind.
I wanna keep 'em though!
Not sure what to do.
I told the girl I got them from I may only foster them until I can find really good homes for them, but I don't know if I want to do that to them again.
But *8* cats!!!

Patty, I am so tempted - but I don't know how Jasper would take to a mature cat.
