Don't worry about the little things Hissy. We are just happy to have the site up and running again.
Sigs are fun to make anyway!! We're happy to be home...

Ok, yes your posting counts have all been affected. They were not safe to retrieve so we had to leave them alone-

The other posts in the forum are dormant right now. In order to access them this is what you do. Go to the forum, whichever one you are looking for, scroll down to the bottom of that forum.

On the left hand side, you see Display Options? Then it says sorted by: you can leave that alone,

But then it says From the- click there, and then highlight Beginning- then hit submit- you should then see pages of the threads that have been there from the beginning. Another way to do this is do an advanced search for old posts that you want to see active again-

Can't add avatars but I am not sure if that is a problem with the site or a change made by the mods.

Maybe I'm losing it...but I could've sworn that I had closer to 880 posts when the forum was first restored...

I've gone through the various forums, and changed the option to "Display threads... from the beginning". but it's not working on all of them.

I didn't need to recreate my sig, except for the fact that I changed my remote linking site since June. I can do the edit on the sig, just fine, but then when I hit the submit button nothing happens -- can't preview either. No problem with regular posting thus far.

Edit: OK, you'll notice I now have the pics back in my sig -- I did the unthinkable and opened MSIE to see whether I could do the edit there, and it was fine. So, no need to worry about this for now.

It seems that whatever is going on with editing a signature is about the interaction of the forums software and my browser software (Opera). That interaction isn't the smoothest anyway, but is usually not enough of a problem to stress out over (or to use a M$ product).

Still, at some point, when the fundamental restoration has been accomplished, and folks have remembered how to breathe, it might be useful to have a look at that interaction. I use other forums (for instance the Opera forums!) that use vBulletin and I don't have the same display irregularities and grittiness that I experience here. So, it does seem that it's just some setting somewhere that would fix it. Not an issue for now, just a convenient opportunity to flag it.

Hummmm....it says my last visit was 6-24-2004. Also, is it possible to retrieve any of my recent Private messages? None of them are there, and almost all of the ones on there are from way back them
