Yep, it's definitely good to be back. MA, I know there are a ton of things to do, threads to repost and things to organise so if we can be of any help, let us know.

Thanks Guys, there isn't to much you can do. I have been looking at old history to see if I could find the threads mentioned in the TCS Community Awards contest (I bookmarked them) but they are coming up invalid-

So I guess my question is, do we stop the awards for TCS this year because of this, and do it next year when the board is up to snuff again?

Hey, everyone! Losing data reminds me of a joke:

Jesus and Satan have a discussion as to who is the better programmer. This goes on for a few hours until they come to an agreement to hold a contest, with God as the judge.

They sit themselves at their computers and begin. They type furiously, lines of code streaming up the screen, for several hours straight. Seconds before the end of the competition, a bolt of lightning strikes, taking out the electricity. Moments later, the power is restored, and God announces that the contest is over.

He asks Satan to show what he has come up with. Satan is visibly upset, and cries, "I have nothing. I lost it all when the power went out."

"Very well, then," says God, "let us see if Jesus fared any better."

Jesus enters a command, and the screen comes to life in vivid display, the voices of an angelic choir pour forth from the speakers. Satan is astonished.

He stutters, "B-b-but how? I lost everything, yet Jesus' program is intact. How did he do it?"

God smiled all-knowingly, "Jesus saves."

Happy to be back!

I checked my attachments and I had two photos posted in Sasha's coyote thread. So it somehow recovered that to about 80% - until the end of June. If you want it, let me know.

There are a few issues, I think. The first is retrieving the nominees in the categories. Also, many members/threads that have been nominated aren't here any more.

I would think we'd have to postpone it and think about getting it up and running again either when the data is retrieved or have it right from the beginning again.

Elizabeth, the board has gone back to June 27 2004 so it will look exactly like it did on that date, including pictures. Remember, if you posted the pictures remotely (from photobucket or mustanagmods for example) and the picture is still on that remote host, they will still show.

Under the list of threads in any forum, if you scroll towards the bottom, you'll se a box titled, 'Display Options'. Make sure the 'From The' box is showing 'Beginning' and all the threads will show.

Mary Anne in my honest opinion I think we should flag the awards for this year and save it until next year. It's coming right up christmas, and I think you guys deserve a break.

Thanks for the tip, Tania. Here I was thinking that the threads were irretrievably lost!
