Hi, We found a kittie in our driveway last Tuesday night. She is about 4 weeks old. We have been feeding her using a small eye dropper but she hasn't pooped yet? We have tryed rubbing her belly with a cotton ball soaked in warm water and also rubbing her anal area in a circular motion. Nothing works! Please, if you have any suggestions for us--what we can do for our little kittie--please let us know. We are at our wits end. Thank you! Sandy

Hi Sandy, first of all what are you feeding her? If you are feeding her cow's milk, that could be plugging her up. She needs KMR and you can even dilute the Kitten Milk Replacer with a little more water to help her here. Don't rub hard, just gently- you can go to www.kitten-rescue.com or look in our Bottle Babies Forum for more info on how to get the wee one to move her bowels. I always have the best luck with a small trickle of warm water, and putting the kitty's rear into the trickle, and rubbing her gently . That always works for me and you don't get the kitty completely wet, just her rear end. The wrap her in a towel you have warmed in your dryer or microwave.
