While searching for ways to pill a cat, I found this site. I was so happy to find answers to my questions. A little background on my kitty: My sister found her at the pound after a family who was moving decided they didn't want her any more. My sister brought her home, but she was not accepted by the other cats in the house. When my cat of 16 years passed, I took Harriet so that she could be an only kitty. The vet thought this would be less stressful for her as she has the habit of excessive licking. Unfortunately, this has escalated to the point of lesions on her abdomen. One of my problems was to get the antibiotic and Elavil in her without the foaming. I did order gelatin capsules and crushed the meds so that she could not taste them. With my sister's help we did get the meds down today. One day down and 41 more to go. Sigh! This place has made me feel that I'm not alone with this problem. I have found someone on this board who has the same ongoing problem with her kitty. So I'm off to "talk" to her.

to TCS to you and Harriet. I do hope she gets better quickly for you, and gives you less trouble with her meds.
