I can not express enough how happy I am that it is now 5.30pm on Friday afternoon!!! *sigh*

Its been a crazy crazy week this week - I havent stopped - I dont think I have slept much and when I do get to bed my mind is racing.

As I have said in another thread the building industry in my state is going through some major changes at the moment and in 6 days it will now become law that all new houses built must have a 5 star energy rating on the building fabric (just like washing machines etc...)
I dont think I have gotton off the phone at all today - its been call after call after call from builders with questions after questions.
Part of my business is to analysis these proposed homes to see what star value they achieve and write a report - its gonna be law in 6 days - so they have to have someone like me helping them out

Its an amazing initiative by our sustainable authority and state government which has been in planning stages for 5 years - its now 6 days away

having said its an amazing initiative - it is also putting alot of pressure on the smaller builders. I have some large builders and some small builders as clients and the different ways it is effecting them is astronomical - only time will tell....

its also make or break for my business - hopefully with the clients I have already will help me "ride the storm" - I have extreme confidence that it will get through this time uneffected as I made sure I undertook this venture at the best time.

anyway - hehe - the reason for my post is what my first line was - THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU - its FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! (however as usual I go on and on and ramble on about other things
)

tonight - I am going to be COMPLETELY BORING!!!!! - I am gonna open a bottle of wine - and DO NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!

bring on the weekend I say!!!!!!
(I know for alot of you - your friday is just beginning as you read this - but its still Friday
)

well we go by litres not gallons but I have done the conversion - plus the conversion between AUD $ and USD $

1 gallon = 3.79 litres

we pay 0.98cents (AUD $) per litre
therefore thats $3.71 AUD per gallon
which works out to be $2.58 USD per gallon

milk is about $2.08 (AUD $) per litre
therefore thatâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s $7.88 AUD per gallon
which works out to be $5.49 USD per gallon

how does that compare?

hahaha maybe I should check my calculations again and make sure I didnt make a mistake

dont forget also that $1 USD = $1.43 AUD - you get a good conversion rate for your money - but we obviously dont the other way round.

gas prices are high everywhere throughout the world tho - its been this high for about 6 months - but before that it was really unheard of to go over 0.70cents a litre.

well working off memory from when I lived in the USA for a while - I think the only one we have that you have is kmart - oh and Borders.
I cant think of anything else off memory

LOL, as for Kmart, I remember when I lived in Hawaii..(seemed like a foreign land to me at first) and I told my exhusband at the time that after I saw the Kmart there, only then did it feel like home. I think Kmart is universal!
