That is a nice business card Danielle - I like it! Can you make the Solitaire darker so its easier to see against the background?

Thanks Kellye - I can make the blue lighter - would give the same result that your thinking?

it actually looks much "crisper" when its printed - it hasnt saved great for that attachment

I am an architect/ builder - so I design buildings
- I presently design residential houses and started my own business about 4 months ago.

awwww thanks

chris also runs his own business and is extremley successful - so even though we are in completely different industries I have already learnt alot from him. He is a great inspiration to me.
There are alot of changes occuring in the building industry at the moment - so I timed myself at the right time to resign from my last job and start my own business - I have some great clients already (hopefully long term clients) so hopefully it can only go from strength to strength

fingers crossed

I really like the design. Wouldn't you like to add that you're an architect though? not to keep people wondering what do you actually design.

Working in the same industry (I work for a mechanical engineer), the Design & Drafting conveys that to me.

The one suggestion I would have is to have the letters be clean. It looks like they are faded from the CAD drawing, but I think they wouls pop more if they didn't have any background on it.
Something to try anyway...

It is a snazzy design! I like it!

I love it
I'm studying civil engineering, so I get a kick out of all the drafting stuff. Whenever you update it (lighter blue, etc.) and get the final result, post it so we can all see! I have to agree with adding architect - I'd simply put your official title under your name.

thanks everyone for all your comments....

as with adding architect - but I am actually other things as well and obviously didnt want to just limit it to one thing - I did think about it but I actually have 3 degrees and 1 diploma and adding all that would make it a little long

I would need a business card which is long width ways
so I thought it would be better to leave it all out.
and as Heidi said - most people in the industry will know what the "design & drafting" means.

but I will have another think about that

it actually is clean when you print it out - but for some reason it hasnt shown up well in that attachment - the CAD drawing and business name are actually quite crisp in the printout...
I will certainly have a play around with all your suggestions and post what I have come up with

Thanks again everyone
