I will be anxiously awaiting news about Sierra. As you know, Hallie has polycystic kidney disease. Which ultimately leads to chronic renal failure. The phosphorous level is the one we watch the closest. One of the other things we watch for is protein in the urine.

You know, even cats with CRF can possibly live quite a few years with the right treatment. But my fingers are crossed that it was just stress. I just want you to see the positive of both sides of the coin!

Great observation! This hasn't really been the best week for sleep. My sleep cycle is pretty messed up anyway due to my work schedule...

Hallie will be 3 years old in July. She is pretty young to have the problems she does though. I don't think she is the norm.

Nancy, these lab results are from Sierra's recent routine exam. They showed these signifigant abnormalities and her medical Dr. has referred us to a specialist for further tests. Don't worry, you didn't miss our thread, she's not actually ill! Thank you so much for your caring concern and for your prayers!

Debby, thank you so much for your love and frequent prayers for my baby girl. I know God is hearing all of our prayers for Sierra. God has blessed me with her and surely it is His will that she be perfectly well.

I know! I call her baby kitty. And she's so petite that makes her look even more like a baby..

Oh, absolutely, Sandra, and I in no way meant to distract from the importance of the precious threads that have been lost. All of Sierra's is gone but the first few posts, and what I meant to do was stress the deep meaning of the these threads to so many of us.I, too, pray that these cherished threads will be salvaged.
