I just got a big big craving for peanut butter and jelly. That is my ALL TIME favorite childhood snack. My great-grandmother makes the best ones and she had em ready for me after school every day. She's still alive and her pb&j still kicks butt!!!

What's your favorite childhood snack?

I never met an Oreo cookie I didn't like. That was my favorite back in the age when dinosaurs roamed, and still is today.

Oreos and milk.....

Hmmmmmmm

Be right back, I have a need to relive my childhood

My grandma told me that when I was a little kid I would run into her house and beg her for a slice of cheese.... I don't know how true that is

What I do remember was that my mom packed lunch for my dad in the mornings and one of his favorite things to have in is lunch was Oreos. I remember I used to sneak in the kitchen in the morning before they got up and strategically take 1 Oreo from each row in the package. I think there were 3 rows. That way no one would notice them missing
I would sit down beside my bed and eat them, but would get busted when mom went to vacuum and they found the crumbs!

Are you like that bloke in the tv ad with no teeth who eats oreos with his grandson?

ooo, mine would have had to be munchies when I was a kid - they are chips that when you put them in your mouth, it would feel like the holes in the chips are gripping your tongue. I loved them! My favourite flavour was cheese and onion

LOL

Nahhhhhh. I still have all my teeth. I did however teach my GrandDaughter the joys of dunking oreos in milk while she beat me up on Nintendo.

Had to be peanut butter on toast, with butter on the toast first. And my preference was for crunchy peanut butter, but not the Kraft variety, with too much corn syrup and peanut bits added later. We got pails of peanut butter that was ground, and still had oil sitting on the top. And I didn't have pbj very often, but for a treat would have marmalade with my peanut butter on toast.

I remember one vacation, two hours away from home, I started crying, parents asked me what was wrong, and I said, "I forgot to have peanut butter for breakfast today".

Its actually still my favourite comfort food.

Vanilla ice cream! Unfortunately I've developed an intolerance for milk so I can't have so much of that anymore

BTW, sandra, your snack is yummy!

I admit it.
I'm a carboholic.. rice, bread, give it to me!
we have pictures of me eating the inside of an entire loaf of frenchbread when I was 2. Also ones of me eating a weird yogurt and rice concoction that i still love. It's rather a rice and yogurt soup.. yes, I am weird. Also on the list of favorites are oranges, grapes, bagels, and elbow macaroni complete with butter and season salt. Man how the more things change, the more they stay the same.

There's no place like home
Probably 3 things:

Potato chips and the dip made with sour cream and Lipton's onion soup mix.

Shrimp cocktail - cocktail sauce with little bits of diced celery (mom made the sauce).

The pork tenderloins that dad used to make for Sunday breakfast.

Dad was a butcher - we usually ate well.

Heh.. my issue with nutella ws that I never had anything to spread it on, and my mum never liked me to eat it out of the jar. I didn't like the mix of bread and nutella. now weird, I liked bread any ther way. As for grilled cheese, I love it! lol but I didn't have grilled cheese until I was about 10. Now it's what I get when I go to hooters. they gots the best grilled cheese sammiches ^,^
Also.. Cocktail Sauce with celery?
that's weird. i like cocktail sauce only if I make it. (Born in louisiana, I still got the cajun in me.)

Plain cheerios - my parents wouldn't buy the sugary cereal, so the plain cheerios that come in the yellow box were my fav snack
