So, the vet's "guesstimate" due date for Daisy came and went some two week's ago and after some real brain-wracking and date comparison to events that happened around the same time I am fairly certain I pinned down the timeframe of Daisy's big escape and subsequent breeding (
) and it would seem that today is probably day #62/63...
...and so the wait begins.
So far she is just extremely uncomfortable but she has been that way for the last couple of weeks so it isn't really a big change -- she is starting to be more interested in snooping out every nook and cranny in her search of an acceptable *spot*, though, so that is encouraging. Although at the moment her favorite spot seems to be my glass-topped coffee table and I am trying to convince her that would be a most unacceptable place (too cold for the babies!!!). Also, she hasn't ever been an extremely touchy/feely kitty but is becoming increasingly willing to be petted and has taken to following me about the house so all signs point towards the arrival being soon.... No milk, yet, but that doesn't really mean *too* much....have had barn cats not get milk until the kittens came.
I told DH she is going to have them Saturday and he asked me why I was so sure --well, we have a wedding we are supposed to attend Saturday so it figures she will pick that day (I also told DH that if there is even the slightest indication that she is having them that day he will be going solo as I refuse to leave her alone and take any chances......lol)
