Hi everyone!! I am new to this site and need some help....

My house has the a/c vents on the floor and some are removable....One of my cats likes to take the vent cover off and go out....

The problem I have, is she is going to get stuck somewhere under the house and I need some suggestions on how to block the vents but still have air flow........

Any help would be appreciated!!!!

There's no place like home
Sounds like you need to find vent covers that have screw holes in the side and secure them with screws into the floors. Even if they are on carpet, you may need to cut away some of the carpet around the edges to install them. I hope they are standard size!

I completely agree. I had this same problem and didn't even realize it. A few years ago one of my cats (just a kitten then) got into one of the vents and fell a whole story!!!!! We had to rip apart the venting system to get her out. It was not a happy experience. You should get your vents secure ASAP!!!

in the meanwhile, you may want to but heavy things on either side of the vents but I too suggest screw in vent covers. Even walmart carries them I think.

Do you have access to a drill? If so carefully drill a whole in each end and secure with small screws. Do ASAP! they can get to the FAN in some systems! NOT good.
