I've read through this forum but have some other key points not addressed.
I got Murphy from shelter - he's 10-months neutered male. Tried to introduce slowly to my 12-year-old spayed female (Tigger) but he jumped the double kiddie gate one day into the first week while I was at work so the slow process didn't work. For the past 3 months he's out during the day with her but he goes into a labador-sized cage at night. He tries to play with Tigger in a teenager sort of way that has her running and hissing and swatting at him all the time. He dives-bomb her and when she gets upset and hisses and swats at him he looks so sad like "how come you don't want to play?" As a result he looks for my interaction when I'm home at night which I give as much as I can. During the day there are plenty of different toys and such to keep him busy.

I've read how many of you say to reintroduce them - I just don't think that's fair to Murphy to cage him back up but does that work?

After 3 months I'm really concerned. Tigger seems to be terrorized and Murphy isn't getting all the play time and I feel like I've done the most horrible thing to both of them.

I tried the Comfort Zone thing - I don't think it did much but I'll try another month just to give it a fully try. And as bad as it is right now for Tigger I don't want to bring in another kitten for Murphy. Please give me some suggestions or some reassurance that when Murphy enters adulthood he might ease up on her and she might get to like him.

If the comfort zone isn't working, the only thing I can think of is getting him a playmate his own age to rough and tumble with. I know yu said you don't want to bring in another kitten but then Tigger would then have a choice as to whether she wanted to join in or just be herself without Murphy annoying and jumping on her. I'm sure others will have ideas for you.
