Probably sleeping on her kitty condo

Nope, but ginger gives me very bad heartburn.

Yes and no. I was smart and not popular. Classes were fun but the other kids could be really mean.

They are at home and I'm not. I'd bet you good money they are ALL sleeping though.

8. If applicable, how did you and your beloved meet? At a college party...I spent a lot of time complaining about how obnoxious guys were (coming off a few bad experiences). Apparently he found that very appealing!

11. What would be your idea of a perfect day? time with my cats, time with my husband, free time alone ~ on a beautiful beach, and then lots of dancing out somewhere fun at night

12. What's the farthest you've been from home? I'm not sure, Florida probably, being in the middle of the states it's not real clear which coast is furthest. I've never been overseas.

13. Did you enjoy school growing up? Yes, I loved the studies, but hated how mean kids could be and the social rigors of classrooms. In college I was the opposite. I loved the social life and didn't put too much effort or interest into the studies.

16. How much time would you guestimate you spend on line each day? Average of 3 hours, but part of that is for work stuff.

18. Would you rather have the birthday cake or the ice cream? Mmmm...cake...I'll take the piece everyone else avoids with the frosting rose. For some reason I love frosting, even in large doses.

more than is probably legal for fire codes! ~ 42 (the answer to life, the universe and everything)

20. What do you/will you remember most about your grandparents? My dad's parents: I remember visiting their house. I remember grandma drinking beer!

That was a new concept! I remember her giving us zoo animal crackers and playing with a little chinese chest my sister has now. I remember walking over there from my other grandparents' house. I don't remember that grandpa much at all.
My mom's parents: I remember my grandma being very loving and accepting of me no matter what. I remember grandpa giving me a dollar on some visits.

I remember her loving cats and his dog and horses. I remember their house and playing dressup in the attic. I remember drinking RC cola and having toast in the mornings. I remember visiting him before he died and talking really frankly with my grandma. I then remember her asking me to ride in the limo at the funeral (a big deal to be singled out in our large extended family). I remember visiting my grandma in the nursing home last time when they couldn't even wake her up at all. I just sat and talked and sang to her while she slept.

I used to sing with a local quartet, his sister's brothers' sister sang with me, and they tried for two years to fix us up, both of us refused, but we sang at his church one Sunday afternoon and (shy little me) started asking him about the dressing he made for lunch, and that started the whole thing off! That was the end of April, 1989, and we were married in May of 1990.

My maternal step-grandfather (never knew my real one) was old enough when I was little to sit and read with me, play dominos, checkers , old maid and chinese checkers with me, a loving quiet man. But my maternal grandmother, well, lets just say for all the trouble she's caused my mom and her siblings through the years, I'll remember her as the world's biggest b***h. (If you don't believe we don't get along, consider this, Catfolks and I have been married for 14 years, she didn't come to the wedding, not 5 miles from her house, but I have never taken him to meet her, and probably never will...sad, I know)

grandma Bea - died when I was very young, but will always remember her lovely paintings and the smile that she has in all of her photos, as well as how lovely her Siamese cats were and how happy she looks in pictures with them.

papa - always practical, but still fun. i will remember his extraodinary love of music and his stunning talent on piano - his eagerness to teach and his patience. i will always remember learning piano, when he'd ask me questions and let me answer them as if he didn't know the answer - i'd always feel so smart. i'll always remember the day he gave me my harmonica - the look in his patient eyes as he told me to practice. i''ll remember the stories he told, over and over again, though i never, ever, ever, tired of hearing them.

jeanette (practically my step-grandma) - patient and usually understanding, i will remember shopping trips and how she tried her best to keep me with the "in" trends, no matter how badly i would have preferred to wear my ninja turtles tracksuits everywhere i went.

always willing to help and encourage.

grandma - always understanding and caring, worrywart, but in a good way.

Victoria Day (the Monday preceding May 25, for those unfamiliar with it -- the reason it's my favourite is that it's one of the few that neither has social obligations attached nor comes at a time when the day off work is going to cause things to pile up too much -- and the weather is usually nice enough to enjoy it.)

Yup.

In a church choir -- and we're still in it 29 years later.

Warm but not oppressive sunny weather; slightly later start than on a work day; putter in kitchen and garden before the heat of the day; late brunch; reading in the shade of the afternoon with something cool at hand to sip and kitties visiting from time to time; BBQ for dinner around 8; pitch the dishes on the counter and wander up the road to a movie (late show/half a mile?) ; wander home and crash.

12. What's the farthest you've been from home?

About 4,000 miles -- across the country. Haven't left this continent and having lived close to the US border all my life, crossing a border hasn't meant a particularly long trip either.

13. Did you enjoy school growing up?

Sometimes it was really good, and other times not so good. On the whole, it was OK.

15. Your favorite restaurant?

Earl's (there are a few others that are great for specific things/occasions, but if I had to pick only one, Earl's would definitely be it)

Between work and home, probably four hours or so

Yes. Wouldn't be without it.

Given that I won't have a cake --- zero -- Oh, you didn't mean that --- OK, what the heck -- 57 -- call the fire department

20. What do you/will you remember most about your grandparents?

I only really knew one of them. My Dad's father was never in my life, and Mum's parents died when I was too small to remember more than a rather fuzzy image, which may be influenced more by the photos I've seen than by actual memory.

My Dad's Mum was quite stiff and proper sometimes, but she could also be a lot of fun -- she had a wicked sense of humour, when she didn't have a burr in her saddle

20. What do you/will you remember most about your grandparents? My moms parents, are Momom and Popop. I'm not sure what I'll remember about Momom probably the way she tried to teach me to knit and when she saw that I was useless at it she put the thing I was knitting away and finished it for me and gave it to me for my birthday. Popop, I'll always remember his hands. He was a short man, probably only about 5'4" but he had the biggest hands. Very comforting. My dads parents, Nana and Granddad. I'll always remember Granddad for cowboys and indians. He had a false leg and always walked with a cane, we'ld sit on is bed and shot the cowboys or indians with his canes. Afterward he'ld tickle me untill I would collapse in giggles. Nana, I'll always remember because she left me a signifigent inheritance. And her letters, she was a great letter writer and was always after me to spell properly.

Made me so mad!!

3. What are your furbabies doing as you read this? sleeping all snuggled up together on the desk next to me

4. What does your bedroom window look out on? hills, mountains, trees - ahhhh its gorgeous

7. Do you get your furbabies holiday gifts? they always get gifts!!!

8. If applicable, how did you and your beloved meet? in a club - he ran the club and I thought I could get free drinks out of him

11. What would be your idea of a perfect day? lying on the beach with a book or catching up with friends drinking bottle after bottle of wine

12. What's the farthest you've been from home? Scotland (think thats the farthest away from them all)

14. Do you live in the city or country? well its still classed as the city - but it looks like country to me

19. How many candles will be on your next cake? (optional) OHMY 30!!!! arent I meant to have a midlife crisis around now or something? OH NO!!!!!!

20. What do you/will you remember most about your grandparents? I dont remember them at all - but I will remember stories that my parents have told me - such as how my grandfather really wanted a grand-daughter when my mother was pregnant with her second child (1st was a boy) my grandfather was extremley ill and had been for a long time so my parents told him that it was going to be a girl (not that they had any idea at all) - he passed away that evening happy in the belief that he was going to get a grand-daughter - now he has 2 of us

wish I had known him. That story always brings tears to my eyes - I have been told he was an amazing man
