Hi All,
If you don't hear from very much or not at all, I still love it here. I am having serious problems with PC. Sometimes it lets me stay on internet for 5 minutes, sometimes won't let me in, other times I am lucky and get 15 minutes. It keeps on telling me that the server has been reset. Whatever that means. Anyhow, I will try to get on in here as often as possible. I can't afford to have it fixed so I will just have to struggle and try to get in here.

So sorry to hear of your computer problems. That is the pits!

I've had some computer problems of my own, though they don't seem as severe as yours. Had to have my hard drive reformatted about six weeks ago (now that was severe!), but things still aren't right. At least the only problem I have at this site is I almost always have to go back to the same page twice before it will open. I was having my most severe problems on eBay, but I closed my eBay store on Saturday, so no longer have much reason to do the things which were giving me the most troubles. I decided to wait until I get back from my trip before I take my computer back in to have a tech look at it. Just too many things to do before my trip to worry about it.

Good luck.

you may not get this - but its worth a try

isnt "server has been reset" something to do with your internet provider? someone with more knowledge than me will correct me if I am wrong - but if thats the case then you wouldnt have to pay for it - just make a complaint to them...

Thanks for your replies, no I haven't checked with them. I will do. Luckily it has let me stay in for a full hour now, but that is the first time for a few days.

Cilla,

It does sound to me as though you have an internet related problem. Could you please supply the following information;

1. Operating System
2. Type of internet connection (dial-up, DSL, Cable, etc.)

Thanks

Hi Miss Charlotte, I'm on windows 98, dial up, and I don't understand a thing about how they work.

It does have to be your ISP ( internet service provider) that is causing you to be dropped. If you have software that is provided by the isp you might try reinstalling it. Microsoft has a more up to date dial-up network software out that might help. I hope that you have downloaded all the updates and fixes that microsoft has released this can help with some problems.
I also hope you are running a good antivirus program and a personal firewall for better protection.

So sorry about your computer. It can be so frustrating when they won't cooperate.
I hope it can be repaired quickly and easily, how could we stand to be without you!
