Reverting Kitten?

for anyone else who has bottle fed a kitten have you had them decide to push away the bottle and eat real food for days and become more independant and then suddenly they will cry and cry and cry and want up and want the bottle again ? or atleast have to be held while eating or they will just cry to get picked up?

Yes, kittens often do this if the bottle is withdrawn or rejected completely by the kitten too early. You need to keep up with the formula all the way through weaning until you are sure the kitten is getting all the calories and nutrients they need from canned and dry food. i know she is getting plenty to eat her belly is always full looking and to the feel .. and its not bubbly like gas .. i still offer her her bottle and wet food .. and she also has kitten food in a little alcove created by animal food tubs sitting allong the wall and the cabinets not lining up .. so that she can safely eat with out worry about being trampled .. and so she will have food since Sampson LOVES cat food .. now she can jump up to the other cats food and i often she her there chowing down .... basically she follows Luna around learning things from him .. shes drinking plenty of water as well .. and i try to get her to drink atleast a little formula a day to make sure shes getting enough liquids..

and since that one feeding she hasn't had a fit to be held while eating .. so i am not sure why she was doing that .. maybe she had one of her nightmares .. since she was under my feet at the computer sleeping like she normally does ... then was having a total fit to get up and crying

today she seems fine .. although she is doing her normal i want up rutine .. she still likes to sleep against my chest
