I was clipping my cats claws, and one of them doesnt like it very much...she growls, but still lets me do it. Just now, right as I clipped, she pulled back hard, and it clipped more off than I normally would...right into the tip of the...vein part (whats that called?) Its bleeding a little...not so much that I am freaking out, but enough to where I wonder if there is something I should do other than clean it off? Will the claw grow back correctly?

I dont know if its cause to worry or what?

Is there still a claw there?

If so and it's bleeding just a bit. Then you will be ok, so long as you give it a chance to stop bleeding.

The claw will grow back, but it prolly hurt the kitty a bit.

Honest mistake, don't let it get you down.

Kitty will forgive you, and all will be ok.

PS it's called the Quick

Is it still bleeding? Next time, give your kitty some rescue remedy to calm him down before you clip his nails (he will be remembering the pain) Also put a drop of baby oil on his claws and you will see the quick easier- that tip is from Dusty Rainbolt's book Kittens for Dummies- a great book that should be part of anyone's library who has a kitten in their home-
