I just recently adopted a new kitten on June 2nd, and she has been acting like a normal kitten, attacking everything in sight!
However, about a week and a half after getting her, I noticed that she has had blood in her stool.
At first we thought that she was just getting used to her new food, (I had been mixing the new food with the old food from the shelter to make it easier on her stomach, I thought that would help). Now though, she has been on the new food only for about a week, and still every once in a while has more blood. She has not lost her appitite, nor energy, and is not oversleeping (not sure how much that would be fo a cat though). She also drinks enough water. What could be the problem? Just wondering before I take her into the vet, so I am prepared. Thank you all for your time.

It could be a number of things, it could be parasites, she could be straining when she eliminates her waste, she could have coccidia, giardia, but the kitty needs a vet pretty quickly.
