Does anyone else have a cat who loves marshmallows? I have one who will tear into a bag and chow down if given half a chance.

Nope, but I would be concerned and not let her have them. Sugar and cats don't really get along to well. I have one cat that will eat dark leaf lettuce, and another who loves gum- we have to hide our gum from her, she will even break into my purse if I have a pack open!

My sophie LOVES marshmallows!!!! She does the same thing as yours. If she sees the bag (which I try to keep hidden) she will get it open and then I find her head first in the bag with butt in the air and marshmallow goo all over her face. I thought it was just b/c she was crazy
It is good to know that there is another person who feels my marshmallow pain!

Don't worry! We keep the marshmallows in a kitty-proof drawer. The poor cat had such a sugar rush after his first (and last) marshmallow feast. I guess that it is not just humans who crave things that are bad for them.

No marshmallow cravings here, but Action LOVES tortilla chips. He can sniff them out from across the room, and when you are taking one out of a bag, he will hit it right out of your hand! Little thief! And my kitten Milhouse tries to get anything we fix that is Italian! Maybe he likes tomato smell or something! Rodman doesnt crave human food, just plastic bags...

My family had a cat for 19 years who LOVED Italian food!

The marshmallow-loving cat will also beg for tortilla chips. He used to ignore our food but has become a little moocher lately.

Were they allowed to eat the italian food? I always thought that tomatoes were very dangerous for cats, I think they have some sort of a toxin?
Dori is usually happy about just smelling our food. She has never shown an interest in marshmallows but she loves whip cream. Whenever I bring a starbucks frap home she almost attacks me. I learned how much she liked it by mistake. Since she has never been interested in drinks or anything I didn't think twice about leaving my drink on the table, the lid was off, when I went to the bathroom. I came back to find Dori sitting on the table face covered with it! I learned not to leave those drinks sitting around. From now on, since I only bring those drinks home occasionally, when I am drinking one I let Dori have a treat, usually these homemade treats from the pet bakery so that both of us can enjoy or special treats together

The Italian-loving cat got to lick plates on an occasion. He certainly stayed under the table during those meals! He, Leroy, was an outdoor cat who I found in a cemetery when he was very, very little in 1983. He died just last year after being attacked by some wild dogs. My mother was devistated.
