i Never Thought i'd see
Soldiers in our streets,
Or Navy Warships gathered
off our coasts in mighty fleets.
i Never Thought i'd see
Fighter pilots in our skies,
Terrorism's hit our shores
And all just wonder..."Why?"
i Never even imagined,
We'd face another war.
With the draft reinstated,
to settle up a score.
i never thought i would encounter
Wanting to salute the flag
i'd said the Pledge during my time in school
(i thought it was a drag)
i never thought that i would hate,
It goes against my grain
But my rage is very real.
Stirring me like a hurricane.

A National burst of pride
With eyes wide open in disbelief,
Our prayers now fill the skies

People flock to churches doors
We know the military will protect
But we know so will the Lord.
