MA, That is beautiful! What I wouldn't give to be able to give my Dad a card or even a hug this year for Father's day. This is the first one since he passed in October. It is going to be so hard
I hope that everyone will see their Father on Father's day. I am going to see mine at his graveside just for a little visit.

Everyone take the time to spend that day with your Dad. There will be a time when he isn't there for you to talk to anymore

Daddy I miss you so much

I did not wish to bring anyone grief by displaying this.

Both my parents (almost 90 years old) now are still married and still alive. I know the day is coming when that will change, and I want to honor him while he is still here and let him know how he has greatly impacted my life and taught me so much.

That's really beautiful. Brought tears to my eyes

We don't celebrate Father's Day...that was the day that we discovered that my father was sleeping with my 19 year old best friend. He destroyed our family. He destroyed me. He destroyed my mother and my brothers. I wish he were a different man.

Wish I had a father that I could send a card like that to. Be thankful for this man who put you before himself.

MA, That card is so beautiful it just made me think of how much my Daddy taught me. I would be hurting anyway whether you showed this card or not

There's no place like home
That is a very nice card, and how appropriate to finish it with a cat!!

I too lost my dad 18 years ago to cancer - he was so young at 57. Since my husband's father is also gone, we simply avoid any celebration at all. Everyone who said it is right - appreciate them when you have them as it is hard when they are gone.

MA that is a beautiful card, your dad is going to love it

Cathi-
This must be such a tough time for you, but if you need us, we will be here
You can pm me any time.

I just want to take this moment to say how proud I am of my Dad this Fathers Day. My Dad was an alcoholic from the time I was 3 years old. 4 years ago he decided to quit drinking and hasn't had a drop since! WAY TO GO DAD!
He was always a good man, but now he is just amazing. I love him so much and am so proud of him

Tanya,

I applaud your father, that takes a great deal of personal courage to turn and fight those demons!

Oh, MA!! He will positively melt. I know, because I, too, am "Daddy's Little Girl" and love to find expressions of that sort. Anytime I do, he's a basket case for days.

Dad was 92 in April, and while he's still going strong, one never knows when the sand will reach the bottom of the hourglass -- his kid brother died a couple of weeks ago -- so it's important to cherish every moment.

That's a lovely tribute.

Loving my beautiful baby girl
MA, that is such a touching card for your Dad to enjoy on his special day from his special little girl!

Tanya, thank you for sharing that about your Dad! Congratulations to him! You must be so thrilled!

Cathi, I'm so sorry you are feeling such pain as you grieve for the loss of your Dad this first Father's Day. I repeat what Tanya said, I am here for you anytime.

These messages have reminded me how very blessed I am to have my Dad and cherish every moment with him.

You are so, so lucky to have both your parents, and i'm sure you realise that.

I miss my dad even now and he's been gone 21 years

He may not be here in person to wish him a happy fathers day, but i know he is in spirit, so on sunday i will be thinking about him

The card is so precious by the way!.
